This Saturday the 12th, a state Senator is coming to my school to speak at an FBLA conference. Being a member of FBLA, I'll be there and might have a chance to talk to him.

What, if anything, should i ask him if i have the chance? Try to keep it somewhat "mainstream", i guess. If i start going off into conspiracy subjects (UFOs, TPTB, 2012, etc.) I will likely be escorted by security or ridiculed as a kook.

Ask them how much politicians usually make from lobbyists per year. And where he stores his money? Cayman or Swiss?

ask him why all politicians are lying scheming crooks and ask if he agrees with the spirit of the declaration of independence and right of the people to overthrow broken, corrupt governments who no longer serve the people.

Ask him about the debt and state soverienty. Our you could ask him what it felt like to sell his soul.

You could ask about the current debt, and how it exceeds our GDP significantly, to the point where it most likely will never be repaid. You can pile on the fact that baby boomers are reaching retirement and there will be no Social Security to pay them as it's been constantly borrowed from over the years, without repayment. Then, focus on the current devaluation of the US dollar and how commodity prices are rising due to them being priced in US dollars. What actions is the Senator taking to make a difference to increase the value of the US Dollar and reduce the debt.

I would ask him what he thought about cheap prison labor taking American jobs?

Perhaps you would do better to find out who the guy actually is if possible before taking suggestions for questions.

PS Please please please get everyone there to record the event so as to post it here if it gets interesting,

Ask him what the 9th Amendment to the United States Constitution says and what it's definition is.

Then sit back and watch him stutter.

You could rather than ask him, but demand all congress resign immediately and they won't need replacing because your new president is being transfered over from Egypt and he's a one man show.

Be polite or you can end up like this guy.
Don't taze me bro.

Ask him how he feels about Goldman Sachs stealing money from american tax payers via quantatative easing.

If you have to ask ATS first perhaps you shouldn't be asking any questions at all. Think for yourself and speak what is on your mind. Take the time to put on paper and think it out before you stumble all over yourself at the microphone. Articulate and be concise...

Ask him about ending the prohibition on a certain plant, then when he says its not a good idea ask him if he is a racist and believes in corporations making laws to help their profit margin because that is the reason why it was made illegal in the first place.

Hey guys, star and flag this thread, lets get some attention and scholarly debate over what this member could ask the Senator.

Please keep the nasty comments to yourself, I think this is a great question posed to a huge open forum with members from every walk of life so the questions could get very juicy!

His name is Ben Cardin. He's a Democrat and a Maryland Senator. Old guy too.

en.wikipedia.org...

And I'll have my iPhone so I'll record audio at the very least. I'm almost positive that the event will be recorded but I'm not sure it will be recorded if i talk to him later.

I'm thinking about bringing up the topic of the National Debt and the possibility of hyperinflation. I'll have to get a feel for his personality to see what questions would be appropriate or at the very least watch some YouTube videos on him.

More on Ben Cardin:

He supported Obamacare

Here is video of Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin being challenged on Obama's Government Health Care Plan at a town hall meeting he held on the subject. A man in the audience challenged Cardin to explain why it was OK for the government to force an individual to have health insurance if they chose not to do so. In his case, he said he needed to use that money elsewhere. The man asked why he should be made to pay a $2500 a year fine for not having it.

Cardin made the ridiculous argument that if he did not have health care insurance and was injured, all the other taxpayers would wind up paying for him. It was a crazy argument because by adopting Obama's plan, Government would be assuming massive liability to provide health care coverage to far more people!

Ask him why the gap between the rich and poor in the USA widens year on year and is now the largest its ever been.

"The top-earning 20 percent of Americans – those making more than $100,000 each year – received 49.4 percent of all income generated in the U.S., compared with the 3.4 percent made by the bottom 20 percent of earners, those who fell below the poverty line, according to the new figures"

That ratio of 14.5-to-1 has increased from 7.69 to 1 in 1968.

Ask him why policies enacted for 40 years have generated a consistent trend for more and more of the countries wealth to be concentrated in a smaller and smaller group of elite rich. Ask him what the country will be like in 50 years if it continues.

Nothing wacky in there. A nice simple question from an engaged young citizen. :-)

Ask a leading question that the media loves to do.

Since he supported Obamacare, ask something like this-

Senator, I have looked over your stances and noticed you supported ObamaCare. I have come up with a health care product and I was wondering if you would support a bill to make it mandatory for everyone in the country to buy it? It is good for the people and with the money created we could do great things like continuing to keep democrats in office.

Ask him why the government is denying the 4th Amendment to its Citizens in airports.

Or, what happened to all the stimulus money?
