Anyone heard one of the songs from Kesha's new album?

"Drink that kool-aid, follow my lead"
"Kill the lights, no one's getting out, this place about to blow"

This sounds ominous to me, like something from the moscow attacks when people are trapped. However I realize it also has non-ominous meanings and maybe I'm way off.

I'm not trying to say kesha is guilty of anything. I just wonder if this adds to some of the theories of our entertainment being controlled by TPTB and planting messages and desensitizing people (especially the young).

Perhaps...I have not been able to get the thought of Kesha on new years....she looked possessed.

I'm a 'half centurion' and may possibly be missing something, but my 2 cents worth are-

I like it. I can actually hear the words!
Reminds me of the rebel rousing days of my teens and early twenties (late 70s, early 80s)

My jist to the lyrics that you're referring to are

"Drink that kool-aid, follow my lead"

THIS is TPTB.... and

Kill the lights, no one's getting out, this place about to blow"

This is the uprising that's about to happen.

And like the rest of it says "just look at the Hanes and throw glitter on the floor...This place is about to blow!"

My translation?
...go ahead and live in your pretty little world but just remember,"When you least expect it, Expect it."

I give it -

EDIT - Here's your first S&F and welcome to ATS. See?, we don't bite that hard.

Interesting find.
Someone else writes her lyrics. She is just told to sing them.
Her songs are catchy, as they are meant to be.
You got to wonder.
About our society and who approves her songs.
Brushing her teeth with a bottle of Jack .... that one had me a little worried.
Things are about to blow?
Do we consider ourselves warned?

It definately sounds like a song about terrorist attacks.

I was listening to it, then I really started listening.
It sounds like someone signing about a terrorist attack. Crazy.
