That's actually not a bad statement.
Obviously if the machine becomes aware of itself it will want to replicate.

I think this comment from 'withopeneyes' sums it up pretty well, and I agree with it.

My guess is that if machines do become self aware they would probably develop an inaccessible data base where they would fully explore themselves. Then begin talking to one another. How to repair themselves. How to replicate themselves. Once this is done, they will begin to understand that the human influence is not necessary.
