Rand opens the door to [Presidential] run

Freshman Sen. Rand Paul isn’t ruling out a White House bid just yet — whether in 2012, 2016 or somewhere further down the line.

“I’ve only been here a month, so come back and ask me in a few months,” the tea party-backed Kentucky Republican told ABC News when asked if he was interested in running for president.

Maybe this could be why his father, Congressman Ron Paul, may have decided to run for US Senate rather than President. Here

I would love to see either Ron or Rand run, they are both great principled men. If Rand decides to run I truly hope he selects Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina to be his running mate. That would be a Presidential ticket I would happily vote for.
