I Earn my money preforming a service.... a closely guarded secret of the industry of potable water..

not everyone is cut out for this job/career, but for a small investment in your own life
it could free you up to LIVE..

god i sound "scammy"

ok here is the dirt

every state in
USA needs BACKFLOW ASSEMBLY TESTERS

do a google search and see HOW many are in your zip code

call anyone at random and ask" how much do you charge"?

depending on Where you live, it will be from 50 bucks to 150.00 just for the testing service
repairs are EXTRA....

i bought a DIFFERENTIAL TEST GAUGE for about 900.00
went to a short class-- all said and done -- for another grand $$

your local laws and schools will guide you,,, I am NOT selling you anything..

just telling you what works for me..
i go into a restaurant, there is a backflow assembly on every "pop" machine, dishwasher , barsink,
fire system, and outside irrigation
i charge 50 bucks a test

4 tests say,, 200.00

the test takes around 10-15 mins if i'm slow and careful
i can do 5 or so in a day like this,,, bigger places take more time, but i charge by the test,,
not by the hour..

springtime i can do 25 tests on Irrigation systems a day, without missing dinner
---remember repairs i charge EXTRA for,, so if ONE slows me down,,,,,it$ ok..lol

any real questions should be answered by your STATE department of health, for state laws/codes

ultimately,, and i do take THIS seriously ,,
I SAVE lives,, potentially,,, every day..

I make sure the backflow devices set in place by a wise water company,
are tested according to local laws of my state ,,
and i give a damn,,, and by gum, the people pay ME for my care..

Or you can get a degree in international marketing and travel the world whilst making the big bucks.....

How do you get the work ,i mean do you have to advertise and do you have to buy the parts needed for repairs,and how much do you have to pay the taxman? Thanks i am in Australia and will look if this service is viable here.

Thanks for the great job idea. I am sure there are a lot of ATSers who are sitting at their home computer wishing they had a job. This is a great one, and I wish more ATSers would post some of theirs. It could help a lot of people get going again. The good thing about ATS is that it is all over the world, so no likelihood of there being a lot of local competition.

Doesnt sound too bad....i dont think they have these in the UK and if they do they are employed by the big water companies ( Thames Water ).

Ive never seen these backflow things....ive helped in the contruction of a number of sites that my parents have financed.

I can make £200 a day just sitting indoors...but thats my secret

there is no sales tax on TESTING... since it is a state requirement it gets done,,, ck your laws, and
talk to a tester,,, most i know, will talk off your ear...mate ;-}

no worries about competition,, i got my wifes EX HUSBAND in to the mix, last year and plenty to share,,and
he is only one city away ..

its about saving the purity of drinkable water,, we need it to live,, less then 10% of the earth has DRINK-ABLE water.... so keeping the infrastructure safe is quite important..

Thought I would check out the local turf for this, googled it and out popped about 200 names.holy smokes 200 guys for two counties.Guess they all were from the big industries that closed down and cut workforce here.But thanks for the heads up guess it's just not viable here.There are actually three quarters of them from the city I live in.

i should have put this in a better place..

but to update this-- as of Jan--march ive done 228 tests at an average price of 50,= $11,400

actual "cash" just might be a little more-- (smiling and waving to the tax-man) I mean LESS_LESS!!

no joking my wife says--lol i hope someone finds this who could use it!!

it cost me only in gas and time away from ATS..LOL (oh and time away from the wife) hahhahhahhahhahhahhahahhahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
