Israeli, U.S. generals taking control in Egypt

www.tehrantimes.com

Two senior Israeli officers and three U.S. generals have arrived in Cairo to take control of the military command in Egypt, an anonymous source has told the Tehran Times.

The command council is headed by a general named Sisson, the source said. One of the options that the generals are weighing is staging a military coup in Egypt.

Israel provides weapons for Egypt

The reports followed phone conversations between the Egyptian, U.S., and Israeli defense ministers as the anti-government protest

Okay, this is the Tehran Times
Let's get that off the bat right away
Of course we should take this with a grain of salt
Just as if it were MSNBC, CNN or Fox of course
Or even Al Jazeera

I think if true, one way to somewhat gauge it's legitimacy is to observe how worse things get, if all of a sudden things get exceptionally worse then I would give this article more credit.

“Peace between Israel and Egypt has endured for over three decades, and our goal is to ensure these relations continue.”

I don't know if this excerpt is correct but if it is.. YUK!
Mass oppression and a 3 decade dictatorship is being praised?

What ever happened to Never Again?

Again... with a grain of salt!

well since the U.S. is getting involved, i'm going to "go there", way "out there": what will happen is we take over the government of the country, including control of the archaeology of the Great Pyramid and sphinx, and we will find what lies under the paws of the lion's body with a womans head and learn the greatest secrets of the giza plateau along with the revolution of the Akashic records.

...and they had everybody believing Iran was going to be invaded next.
War by deception.
not too many people saw this coming.

Bah
U.S. has been controlling Egypt for over quite a long time, they would have had clearance anytime to go in there anytime they wanted and kept Egyptians out on any day of week

They probably partied with 10K single malts in the Sphinx already by opening the lever in the Sphinx Ear long ago.

"Israel provides weapons for Egypt.

Really?? And where do we suppose Israel gets them?
Pretty sure they have an Uncle named "Sam".

But this scheme would not surprise me.

I certainly hope it's just more of the usual BS out of Tehran...
I for one don't want our boys taking control of Egypt.

Maybe the canal if push comes to shove but that's about it.

Your "boys" are in control of Egypt at least 31 years

I can see NATO forces squatting on the canal to keep it open, but I can't see Israeli officers getting sucked into such a damned stupid move.

The Israelis are smarter than that.

Sounds like a rumor designed to tick off the Egyptians.

The fact that it is Tehran times is actually of importance. The main headline illustrates how the US and it's allies infiltrate countries to create events that are advantages to them. It's a very important article in the middle east and damning to the alliance.

I'll give it some more credit when Al Jazeera reports it. The biggest issue I have with the article is the name of the general. I don't know of any Sisson nor can I find a Sisson.

Its probably taken out of context. American generals may or may not have arrived in Cairo. If they did, it wouldn't be to take command but likely deliver a message directly to Mubarak.

We have three Carrier Strike Groups not that far from Egypt, one in the Med and two in the Arabian Sea.

This doesn't mean there won't be a coup. We won't be commanding one though. Advising and assisting maybe.
edit on 4/2/11 by MikeboydUS because: maybe

Thats why this could be plausible.
The Canal is of incredibly vital importance on many strategic and economic levels to the US
and really, the world.
Which would make more sense..Coup now?...or perpetually defending the canal? I don't know.

Standing by for further confirmation and...
please pass the salt.

There's a difference between a client state and a marionette state.

Mubarak is a client, like Saddam and Noriega. Afghanistan and Iraq are more like marionette style states than clients.

I heard that Tehran Times articles based on anonymous sources are really reliable these days.

This is nothing but Irans way of stirring up anger with the people in Egypt who are protesting.

I'm pretty sure based on the footage that I have seen that the Egyptians are already angry

I meant beyond whats already occuring. Iran is taking advantage of the anger in an effort to shift its focus.

I agree, and also to keep reminding Iranians at home (and anyone else that will listen) to stay angry at the USA - which keeps them from getting angry at the Ayatollahs or mad at the Mullahs.

I don't trust American media let alone Irans.
