Love this thread! I'm in the Southwest US. And here are some pictures of our surrounds. We're rural. Most of these are taken on our property.

This is yawkey way leading into Fenway Park. There is nothing like the feeling you get walking down yawkey way before a game or concert!

I am jealous. Some of you people live in places that look like vacation destinations.

Masons Bakersfield Lodge #224 I installed a the video surveillance system and security system back
in 2007. I took alot of pictures of the inside and out, but my camera was stolen. Very interesting inside, it even had a full theatre and stage. I managed to upload a couple before my camera was stolen.

The Mile Track (within the city limits). We have a large equestrian community. Several Kentucky Derby winners have trained here. Polo is every Sunday at 3:00 pm (at the polo field about 1/4 mile away, not here).

Sand River (right around the corner from where I live). This river only flows when there has been rain. The more rain the more it flows.

Looking at the pictures that members have added just so far it makes me realize what a beautiful planet we are honoured to live on ... and that includes the cities and less pretty areas because every single inch has a story to tell.
