Cameron Pack in Virginia Beach started a UFO club and he claimed that he
had FOIAed UFO sighting reports from the city of Virginia Beach. He
was selling them on eBay for $10 a pop. Several UFO blogs made mention
that the VBPD denied the existence of the reports. Which brought an
air of suspicion over Pack concerning whether or not he was conducting
a hoax or something to that effect. When pressed the VBPD would deny
that they investigated UFO reports(technically true) however the 911
dispatchers filed reports on what looks like a standardized reports
handout. I just got the reports from the VBPD Internal Affairs
division.
Looks like the reports go from 1976-2004. I'd like to
find out who prompted these reports. It seems rather strange. But that
Pack fellow was at least telling the truth, VB City Government was
taking UFO reports. I'd like to know who searched all those 911
dispatch files as well. How many 911 calls do they take a day? A lot,
I assume. And somebody went through all those records going back to
1976. Must have taken a really long time. Who searched the records and
compiled that report? I seriously doubt they did it at the request of
Cameron Pack's FOIA.
