Probably Jesus Christ. No. Being sexually active is not a requirement is it?

OR

Forget any of the men from the old testament unless you think you are up to sacrificing your son or selling your daughter into slavery or having a bevy of wives to fetch and carry for you and to help you not mind the fact that football and TV do not yet exist late at night when you are sick and tired of listening to sheep bleating. OH. Those women were pretty good at making wine too which was handy then because the only time anyone bathed was when they fell in the creek accidentally.

WAIT

I think that those old testament guys had it made in the shade and up until now I didn't realize it. OK I want to adopt one of them for my superhero archtypical straight role model. Don't matter which one. But only if I get all the other stuff too.

There is No "Perfect" example of anything or anyone, just interpretations.
Be the best you, Period.
Enjoy what you like, and avoid hurting others.

Well, not to undermine all the stunning advice of what I should do ...
But are you people aware that straight people try and tell us what to be, and how to change every single day?

So please, also ask your fellow straight people not to "hurt anyone else".
That would also be nice.
Did it ever occur to the nice people dispensing advice, that this thread is a reaction to the constant hammering gay people get which tells them they should be heterosexual?
Now I'm asking, if we could oblige that constant mental terror, what kind of heterosexual would you like?

What is a "good", or an "ideal" heterosexual?

It seems more like "how to attack gay people" and get away with it through deflection.
As long as you enjoy it.
I mean "het bashing" is just a gay national sport.
We bash straight people and blow up their night clubs all the time! (sarcasm)

Don't worry, you're just going through a phase.
Was it drugs or abusive parents?
You can stop spreading STDs like HPV to women, and you can stop overpopulating our fragile planet.
There is hope for the errant heterosexual who repents and returns to his true homosexual nature.
I'll pray for you.

I'd have to go with Mr. Ed...

He's smart, everyone likes him, and he's hung like a horse.

Chuck Norris (AKA Jesus' second coming)

I say this as a joke, because i take the OP as a joke. I am a straight man, but i believe in freedom, and enjoying the company (sexual, or otherwise) of your choosing.

There is no one you should be besides yourself. You are who you are, and if you are true to yourself then you are doing nothing wrong. This applies to the eyes of the maker you believe in, in you heart, or the lack of a maker, if that is what you believe in your heart.

Be who you are, never try to be someone else. Acting is just that, it is never an exact copy of who you are acting like. The only person you can truly be is exactly who you are, and that person is beautiful.

I didn't even bother reading the thread I admit, it looks really big and well, the entire subject is utter nonsense.

There is no example of someone YOU should be.

EXCEPT YOU.

Stop trying to copy other people please.

Gay people are enviromentally friendly, they eat organic, drive small eco-friendly cars and don't reproduce, that is why...mother nature favours them...to an extent, if you don't include sexually transmitted diseases.

Question: What's with the limp wrist that the majority of them have?

Also, why are they openly gay? It's not natural, keep it behind closed doors.

Shew, tried to lie down, about 33 degrees Celsius.
Hell seems suddenly real.
I think it's going to go over 40.
Not nice.

You have nice collection of "queer" stereotypes here.
None of this really represents gay people at all.
For more visible gay men - I cannot wholly explain their mannerisms.
They seem fairly common across cultures, so maybe it is a wiring of the brain.
On the other hand, "camp culture" and a kind of sensibility also explains it partly.
We are openly gay because then we can recognize each other and organize politically.
However, not everybody is openly gay - in fact, in my case I couldn't hide it when I tried.
Heterosexuals prefer us "open" - it means no woman has to waste her time on me as a sexual interest, and my hetero male friends can never say I "deceived" them when we shower together and so forth.
It's political and honest.
And I love recognizing another gay man...
We are a subculture in a wider culture, and it's good that we can find each other.

Before we came out like that we were accused of being subversive and false.
So hetero society is actually also happier that we are open.
It certainly makes their lives easier too.
In fact, they demand it.
Many people appreciate honesty.

Thanks for your response, why do some gay(male or female) people want children, when there are certainly more con's than pro's, not to say that you won't look after them, but you may altar there state of mind to an extent?

I suppose gay people want children and families for the same reasons as heterosexuals.

I don't see any special "cons" in gay parenting.
I don't see any pros either - it's just regular.

In many Western places it is less problematic than mixed-race parenting.

No, I don't want to.
At least not at this point in my life.

I wish others would reproduce less.
Starving children are heartbreaking.
