Anybody else noticed the RSOE.EDIS site is acting weird?

I tried to visit the site this morning, it lists significant world events, disasters, aircraft accidents, etc. Initially I got a 404 error.

Then about 2 hours ago I tried again and was directed to a login screen that said the site was the subject of a DDOS attack and was therefore allowing only authorised visitor access.

Just now I was able to view the site and clicked on an icon in the centre of the North Atlantic Ocean and got a message telling me that

"ACCESS DENIED!

Considering the possible security risk of your visit the access has been restricted.
Your IP address has been logged."

They may well have been hacked or maybe it's something else that isn't clear yet.

Any ideas?

Here be the link

To get the message you need to click an icon and select "details"

Already a thread on this, they were under DDoS apparently, just trim it down to the basic url and it works fine.

Cut it to the basic url and you're on the main page, go anywhere else and try to get details you get the the "access denied" page.

So it isn't quite right yet.

It currently works for me but I have been denied access before, and this is one of the sites I check on a routine basis, for the heck of it. On a scale of 1-10, I would only rank this as a 5 due to some credibility/validity issues...

While perhaps newer, and less comprehensive, it looks like this may be an alternate site that does measure some of the credibility/validity issues....

So as an alternative/additional source of information, I offer: www.ubalert.com...

As always, take with a grain of salt....

The first post regarding this is

It's been going on for more than a few weeks, now , on this site.

They are claiming "temporary" reconstruction (of site/network connection) .... which may be true?

But why do they indicate "WE HAVE NOW LOGGED YOUR IP"?

RSOE was funky a few weeks ago also...
Someone made a vid regarding RSOE censorship & IP addy getting logged.

From time to time, I find the RSOE site acting funky, so I just give up and try again later and it works fine.
Cheers!

exactly that's why I wouldn't worry about it...
I just wanted to show that this kind of stuff has happened before, rest some nerves.
Like I said, if it acts funky, I give it a while go back, and it's fine.

Currently I try to only reach the website and it's not working. Maybe the site is only down or got DDoS attack I don't know. The thing is it's the first it's happened to me and yesterday it was working just fine. Anybody can confirm the site is down for real?
