Is this what ATS has come too, gloating that you know more about planetary orbits then a 10 year old

Very cute question...kids and the way they think are just wonderful. Just because they can't or don't do it today doesn't mean this might not be a great invention of the future! If not that specifically then something close. Imagining things and the possibilities sometimes makes them a reality.

It's cool too that you took the time to find out and didn't just make something up or say it was rabbits moving the planet or something

Absolutely! Anything we can get over those little know it alls who can program our DVD players, reconnect our internet when it crashes and who have a built in understanding of any completely mind boggeling technical item built in the last 10 years... is worth it! Yes we gloat and we should gloat proudly! Until our internet crashes and we need a 6 year old to come and fix it for us!

I don't really think wind Turbines could move such a large planetary body, but NASA and some Astronomers seem to have a plan to do just that....

Nasa aims to move Earth

Astronomers hatch plan to move Earth's orbit from warming sun

And then there is this:

Underground Mechanical Sounds An article by Greg Long for Northwest Mysteries reports on strange sounds seemingly coming from underground in the south-central region of the state of Washington. Those who have heard the mysterious machine-like sounds, including loggers, liken the noise to "several large turbines" starting up and running, or a "loaded truck pulling up a long hill and never reaching the top." The article also examines similar noises reported in England, Italy, Colorado, Texas, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, California, and other states. Among these accounts are what sounded like underground drilling and construction work, motor-like sounds, or generators. Explanations? Long wonders if the noises can be attributed to seismic activity and speculates on the correlation with sightings of UFOs sometimes reported in the same areas. Mystery Booms

There is also the Alien question, the rumors of Deep Underground Bases. Could the Aliens be in the process of building and installing machinery underground, in an effort to move Earth to another place in the Galaxy? I think this is a very real possibility, considering the many stories of strange noises reported over the years out west, and even some in the east too. Sounds like airplane engines running at high speed, and out of synchronization.

From my own post in this forum:

"Deep Underground Military/Alien Bases have been building machinery underground in some kind of effort to further alter this field. Hence the strange noises people have been reporting for years now. Earth is being made into a spacecraft, and the inner cabins and living spaces are already built. who will those in power take with them? Not all of the Christians, or the Muslims, not all of the mechanics or electricians, or doctors or lawyers.

the way a windmill or wind turbine works wouldn't allow it a wind mill is a machine that takes the energy of the winds passage converts it into mechanical energy [as in a mill] which can then be converted by spinning a motor to electricity

as for using them as propellers to move, nope the orders of magnitude are worlds apart, ["weight"/mass of the earth, 5,972,000,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons which is rotating at about 1040 miles/hr at the equator vs the energy generated by all windmills and wind turbines on earth]

but hey, you and your child are at least thinking/asking questions and exploring together, and not making stuff up so as to perpetuate the childish belief - adult lie that "mommy and daddy know everything" as the idiot in chadwickus's bigpond ad did.

that's one less trauma for your kid right there.

Tell your child they can move the planet, but in a sense they move the planet forward away from coal and nuclear.Teach them that wind power is the way forward, maybe thats what your child meant.
