Apocalyptic dream I had at about 1:55am this morning. 01/31/11

I usually don't experience vivid dreams often, but when I do they are memorable.

In the dream as I was at a home I lived in when I was younger, but it wasnt taking place at that time. I was with a group of people, some I knew and some I didn't but It felt normal. I remember I was sitting in the living room, a couple of people were using the phone and others watching tv. It was night time, I know that.

Suddenly of the people in my dream said look out the window, there is some sort of orb descending. I look out the window and what I saw was the sun (it was night-time). The sun was rising (setting?) from left to right at an unnatural angle, and i remember seeing its light behind pine tree needles like one would see at dusk. The sun was moving at a disturbing angle, far too close to the horizon at a descending angle. It set rapidly, and was immediately followed by the moon after it (set) the moon also was at a disturbing angle. It seems like this took place in about 40 seconds time, and it continued to do this in a loop, at least 3 or 4 times.

I remember going outside the front door, and the sun again was out and it was directly in the sky. It had a strange color it was very yellow, and it was especially warm. It looked like there was a sunbeam hitting the earth. I remember how warm on my back the sun felt, and in the dream this also occurred to be strange, because I had knowledge of it being winter.

I go back in the house, and wake my father who is sleeping because it was night-time when the setting of the dream was established. I tell him dad look outside, its sunny there is something wrong, i just saw the sun and moon rise over and over. The other people who were at the house are reacting in there own way, also just as confused and scared. My dad and try to get to the living room, and suddenly it is much longer distance to the living room. I remember yelling out to the people to turn on the news, and from the distance i can see the that, it appears to play about 7 seconds of air-time and then scrambles and repeats itself like a glitch loop.

For some reason the distance seems unrealistic to the living room, and I start to get on all fours to try and run faster (couldn't tell you why). As I am doing this I still remember vividly how warm the sun felt on my back, as if I was wearing a black shirt in summer. At this point in the dream I start become aware that I am breathing exceptionally heavy, and panicking as I am running. I wake up at this point, breathing super heavy like I was running and obviously panicked at this dream and how real it felt. I was hyperventilating for the next 30-45 seconds easy, before I finally got out of grip of the dream experience.


So What do you guys think? In my dream, I was thinking a comet caused us to reverse rotational access rapidly, or a pole flip or something. But the sun was acting strange.

A dream is a dream. I've had thousands of odd dreams in my life. They do not mean a thing, they are just dreams.

But of-course it is just so much FUN for folks here to play like they are seeing special "visions" and "prophecy", and refuse to believe that it doesnt mean a thing at all. But such folks grow older and more wise they will look back and say its JUST A DREAM and means nothing. NOTHING!!!

People like Martin Luther King had a dream and it was something?

Well, I don't know what to believe for the dream, but it had apocalyptic overtones. I don't necessarily accept it as the world will end, but I'm looking to hear others opinions, maybe they have a similar experience.

I'm looking for perspective, this dream hasnt changed my life and im not fleeing to walmart to hole up in my house over this...lol

Thats a messed up dream..Sometimes mine are crazy too. I think you are like me and spend too much time on ATS.lol..There is some kind of subconscience cognitive psycology reasoning for this. I could tell you what that is called but my psycology book is sitting next to me and it is too big and it is too early.

Any dream specialists here?

Have you been experiencing an imbalance in the masculine/ feminine energies in your life lately (sun and moon) - or perhaps something to do with your family members?

Internal conflict concerning outside parental (mother and father polarities) influence or something similar?

What do the objects in your dream represent to you...

you're going to struggle to find anyone who can pinpoint exactly what this dream means for you because your own personal subconscious is going to deal with/interpret symbolism in a way that's different to everybody else'...

but at the end of the day, there are cultural - universal archetypes in your dream which you can probably Google and get some fairly prepackaged overview.
