having 250+ ambassadors under one roof for a workshop...

it probably has to do with administration Policy...or a new system of Protocol at Embassies
[which Hillary & the Administration does not want to electronically transmit over the 'secure'
diplomatic wires]

of course it may just be the delayed new years bonuses are to be handed out personally
and thus the assembly of ambassadors...immediately after the State of the Union Address

how can u say this has never happened before?
the only difference here really is that its getting reported. surely this crap went on stacks before the internet and wikileaks the thing is we hear about it

is that going to be enough for everyone to do something? just hear about it?
im not quite sure
i think we will bide our time till it passes us by
its human nature

well i dont think its the first time it had happened i just think this is the first time since the invention of the internet that this has happened where they all met face to face. i suspect that their fear of being compromised is what led them to do this. the government are the most paranoid crackpots out there. the fact they spend billions on encryption and still have secrets come out is the irony of all ironies (unless of course they really arnt spending billions on encryption and are pocketing the money) so someone like assange calls their bluff and hacks their system.

So if that was the case then it would make sense to not trust their secure channels and meet in person.

geez, we're on page 2 of this thread
and all these high IQ's around the joint
haven't figured this out yet ??? lol
I'n very disappointed

well I'll throw my theories on the table.

1) Most probable:
A change of policy regarding demonstrations
and protests at ALL foreign Embassies.

2) Least probable:
Covert CIA Ops work out of these Embassies.
It would most likely be a demand to each Ambassador to
halt ALL CIA Black Ops that have an emphasis on
regime changes. This info cannot be distributed
via SIPRNET due to network compromised by insiders
who are actively leaking SIPRNET data, i.e. jackwagon
By telling the agents to stop their ops on SIPRNET could
be used as proof that those actual Ops existed to begin with.

Wow. They seem very worried. I don't know why, but my gut tells me Clinton and the administration would love to see Mubarak gone. Of course they're probably fighting another faction that wants him to stay. Very interesting times indeed.

A face to face meeting does seem sort of...extravagant.

Upon reading the article's title, my first thought was that the meeting would outline a new policy for internal communications to avoid a repeat of the WikiLeaks situation. Perhaps a new and more secure infrastructure and/or procedure is being taught to all those concerned.

Officials also expect that specific concerns about the WikiLeaks revelations will be raised.

I would wager that this was the most important topic of discussion.

There is no denying that the turmoil in the Middle East would be discussed, but my guess is that this would be limited to the specific embassies concerned. Perhaps a refresher course on security procedures and to ensure that the U.S.'s official positions and talking points are made clear.

__( I also noticed Clinton speaking over the weekend and thought her facial movements were a little odd. I was wondering if she had been ill. Her left eye seems much larger /more open than her right. Hadn't noticed this before? ----------------------------

The only way TPTB will allow a UFO disclosure would be if a ship crashed in the middle of a major city. That is the only way they wouldn't be able to cover it up. I can't see them getting together to discuss the UFO's. they've spent so much time and effort covering it up, why release now? They'd only instigate a larger panic with non-believers. We have massive debt, huge mortgages, international terrorism, domestic terrorism, slipping food supply, fubar weather, animal die offs and then"Oh, bye the way we've been monitored and ubducted by aliens for the past 50 years. But it'll all be okay!?" That would be the straw that broke the camel's back for sure. I'm betting there would be world wide panic and revolt to all major governments and nations across the world.

More likely to discuss privacy of official wires to prevent another wikileaks, and their role in civil revolts around the world in light of recent events.

These are the posts that I believe correctly express what is truly goin on here.

Clearly this unorthodox meeting is a response to an unorthodox situation. Governments worldwide in peril, John Q taking to the streets, calls for U.S. intervention by freedom seekers the world around. These kinds of occurances do not happen often. Obviously, the State Dept. is taking steps to assure the safety, sanctity, and privacy of ALL U.S. embassies, those housed within, and any sensitive materials laying around.

Then again, maybe they are all meeting up to finalize their Super Bowl Party menu.

This sounds pretty big. Egypt is one excuse being used for calling it. Wikileaks leaks are really changing things now.
U.S. have bankrolled the dictator in charge of Egypt and are too afraid to call for him to go. How many other countries will follow? Are wikileaks about to carry out a major dump and if so it wont be good for U.S.
The fact that Egypt's net was completely shut down makes me think that if wikileaks were to come out with a lot of material the U.S. will not hesitate to shut down the net immediately. We are beginning to see how the U.S has been running the planet with its various puppets. It all looks like its staring to unravel.

Something always seems to be big but it never unfolds that way. Instead it unfolds rather in bits and pieces at a much slower pace such that it does not create a shock or chaos. However once we take a look at all the events that unfold for the past few years and the next couple, then we can perhaps fathom the links.

Personally, I think Hillary drank and smoked too much

TONS of blinking in that video and limited facial movement leads me to believe she's full of #

Whatever they're gonna be talking about is gonna be big no doubttt

In another words, a person blinks when they're lyeing their a$$ off. If its all the ambassadors then more than likely it can also be the currency involved along with a CBT course on 'SECURE COMMUNICATION' or 'HOW TO SEND SECURE EMAIL'
Then they all get a printed certificate which can be hung in their embassy offices or in the hallway notifying the visitors of the certifications.

I'm guessing this is mostly about Wikileaks. The U.S. are trying to judge what future damage will result after seeing the results in Yemen/ Egypt/ Tunisia. It hasn't been going to well so far. ( I see also there is some small protests beginning in Russia. that could get hairy if it got bigger)

I think Wikileaks should stop playing games and release all the details.

I think I would also have a lot more respect for the U.S. if they fessed up and released the details first. Sure it would be damaging but they could at least bring it out in the open and start repairing damage done.

I know some of it could be really bad but if the U.S. talked about it, and admit to maybe making mistakes it might work. Show some bloody maturity.

Maybe this is something they are considering which might lead to emabassies having to be temporarily closed for a period.

I would have agreed with this in the past. The problem now though is the whole planet seems to have got a bad case of the 'yips' . Every incident now takes on major importance. It wouldn't take much for the whole place to implode.

hahaha...new administration policy? I would say pretty darn expensive policy to gather them under one roof to avoid information leakage to fly them all into DC and then back out.

Bonus part is believable. Hefty sum of money along with a complimentary escort service
