Al Jazeera shows what's really going on...there's nothing more to it than that lol. Their "agenda" far supersedes the agenda of Fox to keep America dumb. I'd rather get my news from a first hand source in Saudi Arabia (Where all of this is actually HAPPENING) than from a news source in America known to lie. Sorry if that's not how you feel? How does it affect you that I find Al Jazeera more credible than Fox? lmao

I've been saying that for years and no one listened simply because they think WMD are only nuclear but they are wrong. WMD are chemical, biological and nuclear.

Saddam used WMD upon the Kurds (and Kurdish villages) and Iranians; people selectively forget that fact.

Nope.. you dont get to have the argument both ways. Either Iraq had WMD's, or they did not. At the end of the first gulf war numerous UN resolutions were passed that required IRaq to give up their WMD program. Iraq continued that program in violation of those resolutions in addition to ignoring terms for the conclsuion of hostilities.

When the US invaded Iraq in 2003, they had an active WMD prgram, which was in violation of the resolutions. In order for Iraq to have a WMD program, it means they continued that program after the first gulf war, which means under the UN resolutions, the US had a right to invaded and end that program.

If people want to take exception to the actions of the US thats fine. You need to petition your government then to send peace keepers instead of everyone relying on the US to do it.

US did find Iraq WMD

I love the argument though... complain the intelligence was wrong, be proven wrong, and then the argument changes to well, they had those before.

No kidding... its the reason we invaded. Sorry if the facts do not support your position on Iraq.

The US is one of the few countries on the planet that does not accept the UN defition of a WMD pertaining only to a nuclear weapon, and imo that is a good thing. I do find it entertaining how people proclaim wikileaks as a God like entity for releasing classified information while in the same breath ignoring info from them that does not agree with an argument on WMD in Iraq.

I don't think that anyone has a problem with someone voicing their opinion, but there is something in the rules on ATS about being an ass-hat about it. Which you were with the "Obama is scum" comment. As I said, I don't like the guy either; I think he's the 21st Century version of Jimmy Carter. Well, I'm getting a chuckle out of the fact that you think that Al Jazeera is giving you the whole story and not editing anything. Take a bit of time and do some research; Al Jazeera does have their own agenda they are trying to sell.

Al jazeera has been fine here (UK though), it's the first time i've watched it for a lengthy period and to be honest it's been quite refreshing. Then again i've been used to Sky and Fox so it's not hard to improve on those two i guess.

I know I'm reviving a freshly dead thread, however the only other thread I have found on Al Jazeera being "DOWN" in the USA right now is 404ing.

If you try to access it normally, you get the normal Problem Loading Page crap. Access via proxy and you're in business. Is this only the USA who is having it blocked?

I can't access aljazeera english either . I'm glad you revived the original thread. And why are we getting that 404 on the other ATS thread talking about aljazeera being down. Isn't that odd??????

You can still access it by using a proxy. Also, if you have an iPhone, the Al Jazeera English app seems to be working okay. I'm wondering if this is just the USA or if it is happening in other countries too.

I'm in japan. when i lost the original feed, i re-loaded about a half a dozen times, and maybe twice got it to load (but not stream). there's quite a few tweets (international) saying it's down across europe and the middle east. with that kind of geographic spread, it seems likely that their servers have just crashed.

because the page you're looking at to find the stream on (english.aljazeera.net...) has crashed - not the source of the stream.
