Hi all,

Thought I would get in on the act and show what I think it is that we are looking at in the eastern sky from Australia.

Object is really bright to the naked eye. On the video I pan down to the sunrise for a relative direction. I am sure it is just venus, but so bloody bright.

The astronomy-community is saying this/that was Saturn.
Do you think it could've been?

Its definitely not Saturn. I had the telescope out this morning and was looking at Saturn a couple of hours before this object rose in the East. I guess it has to be Venus but I've never seen it look like this before.

Here's a video I stumbled upon accidentally and seems to show the same thing.

WARNING: You might want to watch with volume turned AAAAAALL the way down.
Or you can have a listen and see why I suggest that, lol.

Maybe what this lady is seeing as already been resolved earlier in the thread, and if so, I apologize. I will admit that this chick is kind of out there, but it reminded me of this thread, so it may or may not add anything new to the thread. Seems that everyone is telling her it's Venus.
