Bin Laden Wanted by Libya, Arrest Prevented by MI6

Libya was the first nation to issue an Interpol arrest warrant for Osama Bin Laden, after Al Qaeda was suspected of taking part in an attempt to assasinate Col. Qadafi. M16 was alleged to have been behind the plot.

Why would Bin Ladin take part? Because Qadafi was a secular dictator, the very antithesis of Bin Ladin and his fundamentalist kind. The same as Saddam was. I think the one wise choice the Bush administration has made so far was to welcome Qadafi back into the fold.
