That didn't take too long. Good thing he just appointed his VP. Executive action complete, proceed to control HQ for debriefing.

I was actually thinking the same thing. They cannot have a power vacuum, so they will have to move quickly to put someone in as the leader even if it is temporary if this proves to be true.

I've been interested in this for days now.

Does anyone reading this know where Mubarak actually is at the moment?

I know his son went to London but that's all I've heard.

More info?

Still nothing.

The only think i found regarding was regarding an old assasination attempt on Mubarak....

Omar Suleiman, the new vice-president, once saved President Mubarak's life in an assassination attempt. Saving him a second time may prove more of a problem.

I'm sure someone would be reporting it were there any truth to the story.

We'll see in time but I'm sure they're just jumping the gun.... in case, ya know.

Could be the opposition protesters (or anyone else for that matter) making mischief.

It was creepy to read that story and see the picture and the dates.

I hope it is not true. I don't want that. I want Mubarak to walk away peacefully and a democracy to be ushered in as soon as possible. Violence will only breed violence.

Lets have peace

Don't trust the source this is coming from - but if true - this is big!! Really big! As for CNN, they really aren't that fast with big news spots as one might think they would be, I've know of many things that were true that appeared on other sources first. I will give them credit for a good report when they get it, but we may have to wait - Al Jazeeaa seems the way to go.

Could be a cover story. Maybe they think, "if the people believe he's dead.....?"
Or, it could be a cover up. Maybe they don't want the world to know about it yet....?

I took a look at all the news channels I have (and some I didn't even know I had
) and I didn't see any confirmation.

I looked at Euronews, Aljazeera, BBC World, Sky News, CNN, CNBC, RT, France 24 and PressTV.

Now I just don't know.

These stories seem linked especially how Mubarak is supposedly hiding for his life....

That story is probably where they got the idea for their own article from.

They look at articles such as that and guess what could happen next, choosing the most sensational event possible as long as it is not totally unbelievable, and report it as if it had happened. Then, in the event of it actually happening, it gives them some legitimacy and they can scream "we told you so!". That's what "Before It's News" is all about.

You can tell from people's reactions in this thread that they usually guess wrong.
