You have to be one of the most comfortable people ever to exist, and are so certain of your future conditions that nothing bothers you,
youre either armed to the teeth with provisions and weapons and totally self sufficient OR
employed and protected by some agency that allows you to operate at a constant level of calm and surety,
I cant recall ever reading anything from you that would have you considered to be 'one of the common',
when the shtf will you be in the back of the truck,
or will you be driving it off to an undisclosed location?

Yes that is just it. Whether you like it or not when chaos finally explodes here on our own soil it is going to be ugly. There will definitely be unwarranted shooting, killing, and general evil due to the sheer lack of knowledge that has turned our people into, as you would say, mindless zombies. They most likely will just care about getting some food for their families and would kill anyone in their path.

EGYPT: Looting as Counter-Insurgency
There have been a growing number of reports of looters/thugs conducting smash and grabs across Cairo. Interestingly, there's also a growing number of reports that when these thugs are caught, they have police/interior ministry identification on them. If this is so, the reasons for it are: 1. It tars the insurgency as a group of criminals and thugs. 2. It provides a reason for a reluctant army to get involved and enact a curfew. 3. It forces a percentage of the movement to stay at home (to guard the neighborhood). This above has the potential to set the stage for a harsh response domestically. It could also help provide cover to the regime globally (hitting the Egyptian Museum was smart in this respect, given how many people around the world care much more for the artifacts there than the freedom of 80 m Egyptians). The question is: will it work? A decade ago, certainly. Today? No way. Too much backchannel.

NEGATION IN EGYPT
Open source insurgencies, revolts, etc. operate on very simple premise: They negate, block, stop, halt, reverse, etc. the status quo. A dictator. A policy. An occupation. Etc. They don't build. They don't construct. They don't transition. They don't rule. They don't make people in the establishment feel good/safe/etc. NOTE: it's important to note, as we saw with the people that defended Cairo's historic museum from looting/fire, they can protect. * The open source insurgency is based on a very simple goal (not an ideology or complex agenda). In Egypt's case: the removal a corrupt dictator. * Successful efforts (Tunisia's success and the first Facebook protest in Cairo) move this goal from a hope to a plausible promise -- something that can be achieved. * A plausible promise is something that everyone can get behind regardless of ideology, religion, agendas, etc. * The open source insurgency runs until the plausible promise is achieved. Mubarak's offer to dissolve the government wasn't enough. He needs to go. * Once Mubarak goes, the open source movement will evaporate -- after that, divergent motivations repeatedly fork the movement. Further, as we have seen in Egypt, the ability of the open source insurgency to withstand/shrug off counter-attacks grows as it moves closer to its goal. Even though hundreds have been killed in Egypt by the police (on 29 January, 2010), it hasn't shaken the movement at all. Online connectivity is an early enabler of open source insurgencies. Once they are formed, online connectivity is not a requirement for their continued operation over the short term. In Egypt's case, shutting down the Internet didn't work (it only made people more upset).

They do bring up the tennis once an hour in the sport news on Sky News but mainly it's been Egypt all day which is good. Real news and not talk of a Scotsman that openly hates the English yet is somehow Britain's only hope for winning (I hate Andy Murray so much but that's for a different thread)

What has always been a fear of mine is the fact that the US is likely to be the country that will be justifiably dealt with in the most violent manner of all other nations due to our high crime rate and the number of gun owners.... Population reduction has been spoken of as a goal sought to be achieved.. The ultra rich that own the vast amount of farm land that is on the Crop Rotation Program is not anything more than payment and ultra low taxation to the landowners to not plant anymore than 33% of their land,,,, The land that is being planted on this program are planting GMO crops from Monsanto seeds many of which do not prosper and make a crop so the wealthy are paid insurance by government agencies for what doesn't come up, get harvested and shipped to market... Ridiculous laws are creating prison labor forces and religious programming of our military is being implemented by the same corporate advisors that developed the torture programs for suspected terrorist and those with imaculate service records that profess to being Atheist are singled out for stronger religious indoctrination miles away from the support of their families.... People with strong fundamental beliefs are people that are doing the work desired by the almighty and killing non believers and socialist is what they are being brainwashed to believe is Gods will.... This is the orchestration of the Rapture and Armageddon end of the world scenario that will wipe out the middle class and result in a world of leaders or rulers and slaves .

Glad you liked the movie. I'm curious as to why you want to bash Alex Jones though? He seems like one of the front runners on the awareness campaign against the NWO. I know a lot of people didn't like him before but he seems to have built quite a following as of recently, especially with his "V" for Victory campaign.
