“Information Warfare” is a fairly new concept. As such, its definition is still evolving, but the Air Force has described it as encompassing “any action to deny, exploit, corrupt or destroy the enemy's information and its functions; protecting ourselves against those actions; and exploiting our own military information functions.”
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Well there you have it, no excuses, this was well known about and foreseen as a threat in the earliest days of public internet, clearly they had some people thinking ahead, as this document displays.

But as the issue almost always ends up being, the others or the majority were deafened by their own distractions, and failed to recognize the forest for the trees. Meaning they did not see the bigger picture, as they were to focused on the wrong thing.

Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

they are not worried the have blue waters its a super computer that does a petaflop a sec thats a billion to the billionth power processing. Its so fast its almost instant and it could find when ever some crazy hacker tries to hack into our military defense this thing can decrypt a messages that would take your computer 100,000 years to decrypt in no time at all. We are out classed and the days of the hackers are over. Which is funny because im in school for information security.

excuse me but all that is required is a little know-how

lots of people are building their own super computers by linking PS3's and similiar stuff also if you hook up enough computers over the internet you can also get supercomputer effects/results

no need to throw in the towel yet.
