Leland Yee recevies racist death threat from Limbaugh fan

www.sfexaminer.com

A Rush Limbaugh fan faxed death threats to state Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, on Wednesday morning, according to his spokesman.

The thr(eats came more than a week after Yee asked Limbaugh for an apology for “mocking the Chinese language” and the country’s president on his popular conservative radio program, Yee spokesman Adam Keigwin said.

Shocking. Conservative commentators continue using heated rhetoric to bash on liberal politicians (while being racist at the same time) and then another liberal politician gets a death threat. Well..at least this time it was only a threat.

I'm sure this will be all brushed under the table as a "single incident". Funny...all this talk of "taking back our country"..."second amendment remedies"..."Marxists must die"...doesn't sound like a single incidence. It sounds like a pattern. How long until another politician gets shot while outside talking to constituents?

The thing that we supposedly had over "third world countries" is that their elections were often decided by political violence and marked by assassinations of leaders.

I guess we're that third world country now.

Be PROUD of yourselves America!

If we look carefully, maybe we can also characterize him/her as a Crest fan or Charmin fan or Skippy fan. Instead, we look at the radio dial and immediately brand the criminal according to the blinders we wear.

What if the closet held Levi's or Dockers? Should we start treating all similarly-adorned people as of the same ilk?

What if this same fan also watched Leno? Or Letterman?

Why should any of this make a difference?

Incendiary thought, like Dem. Rep Kanjorski:

"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida," Mr. Kanjorski said. "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him.
???
washingtonexaminer.com...

Maybe we should start arresting people for what they listen to and say in San Francisco.

Eh.
The threats are 'anonymous'...so it could be anyone...it could be a racist, KKK neo-nazi gun toting red neck trailor trash trying to show off to his clan brothers
or it could be a progressive starbucks-connesuier elitist chinese woman trying to get more laws passed banning free speech
or it could be the senator doing it himself for the publicity...
We may never know...

And is the word 'chink' really -that- bad? In Britain chinky is a common nickname for chinese food.

“Rush Limbaugh will kick your chink ass and expose you for the fool you are,” the faxes said. Read more at the San Francisco Examiner: www.sfexaminer.com...

And was he even threatening his race really? I mean the threat clearly says that Rush Limbaugh will expose him for a fool. And Rush Limbaugh has a political talk radio show...so is there a chance that maybe Rush will "kick his ass" via radio?
Nah Rush never does that........*.*

Um ok.. at what point do we take respoinsibility for our own actions? There seems to be an ever increasing blame someone else mantra going on.

People are entitled to their own opinions. If someone else hears those opinions and decide to warp the meaning, thats on them.

We can post info back and forth all day about what Limbaugh said....

We can post info back and forth about comments Obama has made about the enemy republicans.

This has nothing to do with politics, and has everything to do with people who apparently have the intelligence level of a fruit fly.

Of course, the whole "handing it to him" via radio kinda goes out the window when you look at the picture of what was actually faxed: a caricature of our President being lynched!

How many times does s*it like this need to happen before we realize we have a major problem?

And yes. Saying that the Chinese president speaks "ching ching chong" is racist. I really don't think that Rush was going for the European nickname for Chinese food. How blind are you?

If Al Sharpton went on the radio tomorrow and mocked white people there would be a 500 response/200 flag thread here in about 20 seconds. Let's be honest with ourselves. Minorities shouldn't get butt-hurt about racism right--they should just deal with it?

What a joke.

I don't have a problem with saying that individuals are at fault. But the simple fact is, coupled with the Laughner shooting and the vast amounts of violent threats made against Democratic politicians lately, and hell, even Republican politicians, is that SOMETHING has to be causing this type of climate.

When you're telling a bunch of people that a certain party is coming to TAKE YOUR CHILDREN...convert us into "marxism" or "socialism" and Glenn Beck talking about "forced labor FEMA camps"...then you can see what is causing this climate.

This is just the media slanting their coverage to fit their agenda. The story atarted out as a threat on Sen. Lee but then morphed into an attack on Rush Limbaugh. There are threats against just about every member of our government but we never hear about it unless the media decides its in their best interests to report it. They then slant the story to the way they want you to think. When the shooting in Tuscon happened the media immediately said it was talk radio, the Tea Party and Sarah Palin even though the shooter never listened to any of them and later on it was reported that one of his favorite books was the Communist Manifesto. However the media continued to blame Sarah Palin andunfortunately most of the public bought into this fallicy. It would seem it was more of her fault than the shooter's, just like this article blamed Rush Limbaugh rather than the man who made the threat. It's time we started holding people accountable for their actions instead of placing blame where it doesn't belong.

how much liberal uproar did we hear about Jesse Jackson's "hymietown?" Or the above-quoted threats from a dem. spokesman?

"Limbaugh fan" is utterly superfluous and used only to inflame. Why not address the substance instead of the peripheral relationships? Too difficult?

For all you know it could have been Al Sharpton that sent the 'threats'. I mean I'm not saying it is, but you should consider stuff like that.

And besides even if it was a white guy sending the threats, what does it matter?
I'm sure there are are black people that threaten white people...
Should we seek these this civil terrorists out and give them the electric chair?
Or would a hanging more suit your vengeance?

Yes these people are ignorant. And they will always exist. And they are all over the world not just in America. People will always find a reason to hate each other, unfortunately.

Unless Limbaugh typed that letter I really don't see how it's his fault.

Not that I like Limbaugh or anything.

Questions of Limbaugh's culpability aside, it is really very obvious that it was HIM SPECIFICALLY that inspired this particular tirade, considering that Leland Yee had asked for an apology earlier, and the fax specifically mentions Limbaugh. So there is an obvious correlation, unlike with whether he likes Leno or nikes or Dockers.

It's a shame really. I guess that the only logical conclusion anyone can come to is that we need to censor freedom of speech, but only for Fox News and Conservative media, that is.

Hold on a second after reading this for the second time I've realized that they don't even have suspect. Any one could've sent this fax. This has all the makings of a setup. For all we know Nancy Pelosi sent this. As I said earlier this is just the media slanting a story to their agenda. How convenient for them to get this fax but they don't know who faxed it. Yea right. What a bunch of B.S. This just a bunch of mass brainwashing.

Our nation was designed to "take back our country" by using the 2nd Amendment. There is nothing wrong with the rhetoric. I protest the hyperactive, irrational response to the Arizona shootings. We cannot allow a shooting by a madmad to push us further into the hell of Political Correctness.

Thomas Jefferson said that he could not imagine our nation going more than 20 years without violent revolt without slipping into tyranny.

I am very proud of myself, and what we SHOULD be. But I am ashamed of those who represent us in DC. I don't support using racism in any form or fashion. That is what this story is about: some racist redneck. But there have always been death threats. With the pressure being turned up on The People, you would have to expect that the crazies are going to start tipping over the edge first.
