Refinished Table with a Spiritual Flair

My husband got this table from his mom. It was in his house when he was a kid. He figures it's probably 60 or more years old. It's got these little fold out wings that hold the two side leaves up. Really cute.

Anyway, no one wanted it, so we were blessed with it...





Lovely, huh? Well, Here's what I did with it.

This is called a "yantra".





And a close ups of the bottom level. It's a blue Lotus flower, standing for wisdom:



And the symbol Aum (the meditation mantra)



I had SO much fun doing this project! Hope you enjoyed it, too.

...i had a table just like that but in really good condition... dont remember how i got it... its been in the garage since i moved here over 3yrs ago, so i gave it to my granddaughter... now i wished i had painted it first...
