I have heard alot about this topic, and I am inclined to think that it programs us on many levels. Rhythms, lyrics, culture creation all influence us in different ways. Emotionally, physically, and mentally.
Alan Watt discusses this. Here is a video about hip-hop in particular.

The thing is when you combine different projects that stem from MK-Ultra in the 50's it's very easy to have what one would call a music slave, for instance if you take the experiments they do to a TI (targeted individual) and have paid people in the know do street theater in a certin way that will be explained in some kind of way in a song this is one premise to try and gain control through music it's like there trying to control every aspect of your life like a script.

While it's true there are differences between a orginal MK-Ultra survivor a Project Monarch victim and a TI there are some similarity and these are just three projects we know about that stem from MK-Ultra, god knows what else there working on.

On the flip side just like Wildeagle said you have certin music artists who are aware of these things and will try and wake you up to the fact that stuff is going on around you that might not seem what it is and a whole host of other things to try and wake you up......not everyone is a sell out.

But sure there's more then one technique to try and get you to become a slave to music.
