Doku Umarov — a prime suspect in Monday’s shock-and-awe attack on Moscow’s Domodedovo airport — issued the warning in April 2010, after taking responsibility for another dire event, the bombing of Moscow’s subway.


But after two wars, hardened fighters turned from Chechnya’s traditional moderate Sufism to an extreme brand of Islam, encouraged by Arab ideologues. It spread through the impoverished Caucasus, following a trail of hopelessness among the young. New militant groups were formed, with grandiose aims far beyond tiny Chechnya.

Chechnya doesn't want independence, Chechnya Islamists want a full Islamic state, of course they would need independence but if they get independence that would mean only terrorism & Islamists hardliners will win.


The Article clearly explains why Chechnya Islamic Terrorists were the suspects behind the bombing at the airport.
