how long to edit a post?

this may sound like a dumb question, which even me, the one asking it, thinks it is...

but is there a certain amount of time we have to edit a post? i just looked back at some of my posts, and noticed some of them no longer had the option to "edit"...

MODS?? how long do we have?

I think its 4 hours, But if a Mod has "Fiddled" with your post/thread you cant edit it after

Massive edititing is not encouraged though as any response that may relate to your post wouldnt make sense

Also Mods shut down some threads for various reasons, which ends the ability to edit or post. Funny thing is you can still star someone. Darn if I know.
