Our arab brothers and sisters are very often the ones left behind in terms of progress and evolution. They had been kept stupid, religiously dogmatic that supports the authorities underhand, and denied of any social expenditures. Whatever they had earn lines the pockets of the crooked corrupted leaders, already fat from the bribes from corporations stealing their resources.

Thus it comes at no surprise that the masses are awakened to hard truths and had enough of the BS. The wealth of a nation must and should be shared, and never be allowed to be held in hordes by the elite few. Wars or threats of war to be conducted should be aimed at protecting the citizens and its soveriegnity, not for the protection of the elites, the power hungry radicals, or the insideous corporations with fingers in many pies.

What the insignificant me see are ordinary common people left to starve and deprive of Universal Human Rights by those in power,be they from the theocracy or the ruling parties. finally standing up.

May they find resolution and achieve the common aspirations that all humans are entitled to....

Just heard on Al Jezzeera: reports of water being cut off. Water is not coming out of the taps in Cairo. That's probably one of the worst things that can happen. No internet, no cell. Whatever. No water? Uh-oh....

However, reports cannot be confirmed. They are only eye-witness reports.

Thousands protest in Egypt’s Tahrir against army rule

CAIRO: " About 50,000 mainly Islamist protesters flocked to Cairo’s Tahrir Square on Friday to press Egypt’s military rulers to transfer power to elected civilians after the cabinet launched a move to exempt the army from parliamentary oversight. "

The protesters chanted Islamic songs before Friday prayers while others handed out fliers demanding the withdrawal of the constitutional proposal and that presidential elections be held no later than April 2012, instead of at year end or in 2013.

"Does the government want to humiliate the people? The people revolted against Mubarak and they will revolt against the constitution they want to impose on us!" a member of an orthodox Islamic Salafi group cried out over loudspeakers.
