Now we should work on solving the biggest conspiracy of all, where do all those left socks that the dryer eats go? (Why is it always the left one? Does the right one not taste as good?)

I think that needs a thread of it's own.

Actully boats do go to the south pole area, there are even a few places where people live, since it was discovered (although a cold trip) eventually people made settlements, so I wouldn't get hyped up over a block of wood.

Could be really old or recently put there by some random travellers.

It's a block of wood, not a spaceship or Jesus on a surfboard or an opposite verision of yourself with the ability to not care about a stupid piece of wood.

Why did i even read the thread? Or better yet why did I post a comment? Lol

I bet whatever is in it,is so effin valuable. It would take a ton of effort to get that up their.
I wouldnt be suprised if something extremely crazy was in it,considering all the stuff going on in the world these days.

I am wondering if this item goes deeper into the glazier.
Looks like the top of a box.

You never know.
Certainly a brain teaser.

Simple it came from the inside of the earth it was probably pushed out by the current of the iner oceans or some type of river that connects our oceans to there world!

Let's ask a question why is it that you can only find fresh water ice bergs at the poles where does this fresh water come from simple the inside of the earth!

OMG it's Jumaji!

Thats awesome great! lol

On a serious note, what if it is Pandora's box. This would be one of the most difficult places to get to on earth.... and icebergs usually float around so it would be difficult to find because it is always moving around. Just a thought, far fetched yes but anything is possible.

I honestly have no idea.
There are countless possibilities here.

However, very nice find, quite the anomaly.

I don't think we will ever find out exactly how this got there.

Perhaps with a closer examination, we might find markings on it.

If it is indeed a piece of cut timber, we can determine what type of tree it is from and where these trees are at in the world.

So we certainly need closer analysis of the material that this object is composed of.

Don't touch it right away though if it turns out to not be wood. In that extremely unlikely circumstance, it could be the "monolith" which should NOT be touched.

I am wondering if they are going to find yet more really old, really expensive brandy in there. What with the Piano that was discovered on a sand bank and now this I am waiting for some loony, rich artist' to claim responsibility to this
