I can't rent a goverment run apartment HELP!!!

Well not me lol
But my sister is having trouble's.
she has 3 kid's to.

She filed all the paper work for the apartment's...all was good .
Then they told her..she can't use the certificate of live birth.

She has to send of for vault copy's..Just to rent a apartment ran by the government.

So please explain to a redneck...
How our president can run and become president.. and not show his vault copy to us?
Cause if a Normal citizen can't rent a apartment in this country without a vault copy...

I know i am backward's in my thinking but heck.

I agree this was the topic the other night on some radio show I flicked on at 2 am when I couldnt sleep or find coast to coast for some reason or another.

They were making a petition to make it law that anyone in office would have to show credentials before they could be elected, Id sign it.

Government owned, or also known as section 8, requires the occupants to surrender anything, and everything of personal business. Unless of course your anything other than white, then they roll out the red carpet. Not only that, but if your a minority, they'll even pay your cable!

Its already law that a presidential candidate must prove citizenship, and we are still waiting to see Obama's. Gee, I wonder why that is?

I had some dealings with section 8 when I was younger. I made too much money to get it (7.00 hr) I was only 21 and just home from the Marines. And I didnt make enough to live there if I paid full rent. Strange indeed. I guess what really sucks is We are the minority, however its just like child support... you will never win.

tell them your sister's b.c. is locked up for privacy reasons. State Obama's case as a precedent. It won't get you a government apartment but it may make national news.

Welcome to the land of the free. Where one is not created equal. Take your number and get to the back of the line. The government only helps people that don't really need it(able to work, but too lazy). It is the one's that really need it that suffer the most. I know I have been struggling my whole life.

Tell your sister to get some gov't funding for a local community college. They pay pretty well and this is the only help that I get. That is what I did and I am on my last semester. I have had enough of this crap and I am doing something about it. There is plenty of money set aside to fund schooling just not living. Tell your sister that if she needs help to look into grants for schooling.

Sorry I forgot about the no birth certificate. That may be an issue.

The fact remains, that those in need, wont get it. And another poster hit the nail on the head, that the lazy, oprah re-run watching population, get that help when they ask for it. the social programs of this country are not only unconstitutional, but a burden on the tax payer. I would gladly pay taxes for someone to get a little assistance, as long as there is regulation on it. Back when LBJ was running the show, his idea of " welfare ' was implemented with regulation. There were time restraints on the program, but over the years, they have been manipulated and stretched, so that once you qualify, you can stay on it for life, as we are seeing today. I say abolish the social programs, those who are on it, get a job, and if you dont want one, then we'll send you to an island, preferably with cannibals, to eradicate this infectious group of peoples, who do nothing but teach their offspring how to continue to be a burden on the tax payer.

We rolled Obama into this thread due to the fact that it was he who increased the budget for unconstitutional social programs. ( ie..welfare, food stamps etc )

I figure Obama is here because there is a double standard in the U.S. If I get a job that I have to be bonded, I have background checks and hair samples, drug test and have to provide a birth certificate.

If I have to do that , and the op has to do that because they want an apartment

Oh, so it's not actually YOU after all. Hmm. But there's more to this than just 'renting' a government run apartment. You're asking for a taxpayer supported subsidy so you can pay below-market rates. And now you don't like the fact that you are losing some of your privacy because of it.

Do you see a connection here? You (or your sister. If you can't keep it straight, why should we try?) are actually seeking to be dependent on government. Once you are dependent on these government handouts, you will do what the government says and, further, you will STAY POOR!

A very good example in my area are Indian Tribes. For what? 150 years or so the tribes wer dependent on the BIA. Their own culture was devestated. Crime was rampant. Alcoholism and drugs were everywhere. Any objective observer would have to look at the plight of the tribes and the reservations as almost beyond hope. These people were in a last gasp for survival. They had to go to the government for everything, hat in hand. They had food stamps befroe everyone else did. they had subsidized housing (terrible crackerjack box affairs.) They depended on government for their very jobs, of which there were few. Tribal leaders grew the government bureaucracy on tribal lands so they could give jobs to their nephews and uncles. basically, it sucked.

Then a funny thing happened. Tribes gambled on gambling. They brought in professionals from Las vegas, built casinos, built hotels and convention centers, and started raking in the dough. Then they bought gas stations and small businesses and invested in their communities. Those decrepit slums began to disappear. "Indians" started coming home with good educations. and before you could say "Jackpot!" these guys were free and independent. In my area anyway, it's quite a success story. They even are buying back land weasled from them generations ago. One near me own a very nice golf course.

the point here is that don;t cry because you can't get on the dole. Be grateful you can retain your freedom.

Yeah, what we need to do is round all these people up who are not like you, and put them on cattle car trains. Then take them to a work camp, but heard them into the gas chambers. Then pile their corpses into pits

Why do you expend your time and attention despising people who get a couple hundred $ pr month, but you don't expend your time and attention despising that those bankers and other financial and corporate entities who contributed to economic calamity, recieved billions in welfare?
