10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi '___', and a box of Krispy Kremes,
in my "need to know" pose, just outside of Area 51
Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thingy
when a flaming stealth banana split the sky
like one would hope but never really expect
to see in a place like this.
Cutting right angle donuts on a dime
and stopping right at my Birkenstocks,
and me yelping...

Holy #ing sh!t!

Then the X-Files being,
Looking like some kind of blue-green Jackie Chan
with Isabella Rossellini lips, and breath that reeked of
vanilla Chig Champa
Did a slow-mo Matrix descent
Outta the butt end of the banana vessel
And hovered above my bug-eyes, my gaping jaw,
and my sweaty L. Ron Hubbard upper lip,
and all I could think was:
"I hope Uncle Martin here doesn't notice
that I p!ssed my #in' pants."

So light in his way,
Like an apparition, [that]
He had me crying out,

It's gotta be
the Deadhead Chemistry

And after calming me down
with some orange slices
and some fetal spooning,
E.T. revealed to me his singular purpose.

Me. The Chosen One?
They chose me!!!
And I didn't even graduate from #in' high school.

no reason for another post since this was so short, but to reply to Saabster-
yes i agree. I kept missing them for several years, but caught them twice in 1 week during the 10,000 Days tour, and both of those shows jumped easily into the #1 and #2 spots of all time best shows ive ever seen. 2 perspectives. 1 close on the floor, and the other in the middle way in the back. amazing light show. well the whole show was amazing.

But I forgot my pen!

Hehe. These guys put on, by far, one of the most visually stimulating concerts I have ever witnessed.

Also is quite interesting that they use the Fibonacci Sequence in Lateralus. Kinda old news, but the mysticism they use with their music helps put this band on my all time favorite lists. Wait, not saying I'm a devil-worshipper either, just saying they way they throw different beats and rhythms together is awesome to say the least.

it seems that the whole thing of forgetting a simple thing as a pen to write it all down is a good enough excuse to not have any evidence of what they saw or had done to them...

you would think that there would be more bands like this then bands not like this by now but no sigh we are still doing that 3 minute pop thing that goes absolutly no where but to a whole bunch of peoples wallets

if we wanted to stop it all we would haveto do is blow up all the make up factories, how quick the music business would be reverting to artists who can actually play instruments opposed to shells of people having their voices manipulated to pretend that they can sing whilst standing against a blue screen

get people into good music and art and then they can translate that into better living ideas.
