I am compelled to speak up for Utah here.
A whole gaggle of my friends in Moab (other end of the State) on Facebook were all complaining of a HORRIBLE lung thing with uncontrollable coughing in mid December, and some are still feeling the effects. Some folks were saying "what IS this disease! TB? the bird flu?? black lung?? a death cold 2000??"........

Many MANY friends in Salt Lake (where I am located) ALL claiming the same thing, and I was worried because I have an immunity disorder. Then loving happy folks came by for Christmas and brought it right to me special delivery. They did not mean to, but it just happened....
It started for me 3 hours later on Christmas night with a sore throat and VERY achy body and a big fever for a few (3?) days then it just settled in my lungs and I was coughing so HARD and out of control my throat began bleeding.
Most the sinus trouble is on the left sinus for some weird reason.......here it is the end of January and even with sulfa anti biotics its still hanging on. My lung HURT, and all the core muscles associated with coughing are in terrible pain for so much overtime.
3 days ago I went to whole foods and per the advice of the in store nutritionist I bought a 17.00$ bottle of guaifenesin expectorant, in a pill form called AIR POWER..........and it sure is making my lungs feel better!!
so now I think I might just survive this terrible gomboo after all. I was hacking up gobs of a thick moss green 'lung cheese' that had almost the same texture as raw liver, and I couldn't really take a deep breath, but I am telling you this natural herb guaifenesin is really doing a good job for this 'lung cheese' condition.
I would recommend this to anyone trying to get over a lung issue.

With my immunity disorder I tend to catch everything that comes along, but THIS WAS DIFFERENT than ANYTHING I have experienced before..........and everyone has it, or just had it....
When the animals started dying I thought they must have gotten this illness as well, because well?? its just SO FIERCE I would think a little animal would die from it....

My wife has had sinus problems for the past 7 weeks with thick mucous in her throat. So I called her over to the computer to read some of the posts. We both started laughing uncontrollably after seeing your avatar because she gags like that when she's trying to clear her throat. Hilarious avatar considering the subject of the thread.

I guess I should have put this here. what Im having in Feb is a Suniplasty.. its like a balloon angioplasty but in your sinuses. Until then Im going to experiment will C silver and Garlic.

Check it out:

www.redorbit.com...

I seriously doubt it will stop whatever is causing the response inthe first place, but I MIGHT get a few weeks relief.. which would be a blessing considering how debilitating having a 24/7 headache is.. with 3 kids I home school and 4 dogs.. and a husband.

IMO thank God she is draining the mucus!!

Now if we could figure out how to prevent the overproduction of it or stop the response inthe first place we might get a lead on what is causing this crap.

It could have something to do with medications or any vaccines you've taken. There have been posts here on ats regarding meds and vaccines not being what they claim. Just a thought and something to look into. Personally, I seldom take pills and never get vaccinated for the flu, etc. and I'm in good health.

Are they trying to use anything like Zicam. Everyone I know who has used the Nasal Remedy has come down with something too that will not go away unless they use one of those flush tools/Nasal Flush. And even still it would come back. My main concern is that they are smokers for the people I know, are. Anyway's they tend to and at random times exhale from their nose which could play a major role with their nasal issues to begin with. I have seen them sneeze and pull out, what looked like huge wet brownish goo covered scabs. Sorry but the graphic description was necessary. It proves that they have a hardcore sinus infection which I would relate to nasal sprays and or smoking or both. + the environment just to be funny.

If what your saying is true and it's bothering you that much you need to do some research. Check your local area for any recent fires, maybe a chemical plant exploded near by? Or a fireworks arena? Who know's. Go to the library and look at your town or city's geographical maps and look for fault lines. Any recent earth quakes? You can watch your local news even if it pain's you to do so.

You didn't even provide us with any info of what your area is like. Do you live in or around a industrial wasteland? Do you have A lot of trees? Or just a few? What side of the equator are you on..

Op you have no idea how relieved I was to read this thread. Don't get me wrong I feel sorry for everyone being sick as it sucks, but I was starting to get worried.

When I was 8 I almost died from acute bronchitis. I guess my body built up an immunitý, because since then I have not gotten the slightest sniffle. My fiance would be sick as a dog, I'd kiss all over her, and wouldn't get sick. Flu seasons would come and go, everyone would get sick, I'd be great.

About a month ago, I came down with a cold, the cold developed into a horrible sinus infection. Haven't been to dr for more than a checkup since bronchitis. Dr prescribed antibiotics, 10 days late I was good.

2weeks later, I catch another cold, this develops into a cold + a stomach virus. 5 days later I'm over it. About 1 week after that, I caught another stomach virus that took 4 days to clear my system.

My fiance talked me into getting the flu shot last october, it was either me or the newborn, I'd much rather take a jab then him anyday. But up until that shot, I never got sick, since then, well u read the story.

How many people experiencing these symptoms got the jab this year? I'm wondering if its all tied together. Cause I was great til then. Imagine if I was a child or elderly. I'm a 26 year old 200lb athletic male.
