Though I would maintain that conservatism (small c) is just the natural commonsense approach, that the general 'tardness' of the human condition requires to govern itself - it is not an ism - so much as pragmatism!

It is not really about money either - the elites allready have all the money they can ever use - but it is certainly of of the prime tools they use to control the world.

While I disagree with practically everything else you have posted in this thread you have a valid point here.
It takes millions of dollars to run for Congress or POTUS.
The financial elite have guided the system towards achieving this goal.
The current two party system of politics in America has assured this financial elite of having the ability to approve of and place the wealthy puppets we call our representatives that do not give a rats lil' pink arse about you or I.Only the will of their controllers.
The Tea Party started off as an honest to goodness grass roots movement amongst citizens that has been hijacked in part by the Repubs.The Democrats and Republicans worked together to squash this movement.
The Democrats (so called progressives) by their control of the media to give the movement a bad rap by using politically correct diversion calling them racist teabaggers, violent right wing extremists etc.The Republicans by convincing the Tea Partiers they were on their side, so some of the candidates the Tea Party backed were actually cuckoo birds placed in the nest!I still have hope for the movement.If the citizens could get average joes' into Congress that really wanted to change the current system, than a movement such as this is the only way to financially back a candidate due to the sheer number of donors to raise funds.

Socialism is a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. Do you know what that means? It means we can descide for our selves, make up our own minds and not let our fate be discided by a select few. What are they teaching you in those schools of your in the US. Pic up a dictionary and educate yourself. I for one wouldn't mind living in a world with out government. And no, it won't be chaos. We can govern our selves but there are people who would like you to believe otherwise.

there is no doubt that "liberals" and "progressives" are, if not communists, actual statists. This is fact.

The actual problem is that most of these people are so misinformed and driven by their knee-jerk emotional reactions that they are unable to understand that they are actually verging into the realm of fascism and stalinism.

After 'religion' began to lose its holding power for the masses, with the avent of the printing press, the 'enlightenment, the reformation etc - they simply came up with another catch all control mechanism/ mind trap to manipulate the masses, egalitarianism, communism, socialism, progressivism, liberalism.

These 'progressives etc are trapped into a ridiculous belief system just as much as the conservative religionists they profess to despise (except if they are ultra-conservative Islamicists).
