Cake - New Release - 100% Solar Energy, page

One of my favorite bands is indeed Cake and I was pleasantly surprised to open the CD today and read:

This album was written, rehearsed & recorded using 100% solar energy.

Manufatured in the USA using 100% recycled paper stock and vegetable dyes

Now, I'm sure there was no solar energy involved in the pressing and duplicating, but it is good to see a band doing a little something about it on the level that they are at.

Hope this provides some musician and bands with some inspirational ways on how music can go green as well. I thought this was pretty cool.

The last time I had my record pressed I did make sure I chose the most green friendly options and I will continue to do so.
