Thanks for the very interesting perspective on what this type behavior does to the individual soul, whether the individual in possession of that soul owns it of even realizes it or not.

Along those same lines, would you say it's getting to be pretty obvious what the lying and denying also does to our collective soul as it exponentially increases? It does affect us all...there's no denying that or running from this, is there?

Found this this morning and thought it was interesting....

“In politics... never retreat, never retract... never admit a mistake.” ~Napoleon Bonaparte

Guess that explains a few things.

And this...seems like it might be tongue in cheek. Or is it?

#4. Lie, lie, lie. Never admit to a mistake. Even if they’ve got proof on ya - deny, deny, deny. Try to pin it on someone else, double talk your way out if it, burn documents, pull dirt on ‘em – do what you gotta do, but don’t even think of coming clean. That would be the work of an amateur. www.thoughtiswack.com...

Nice post. And I agree, the more lies a person tells the more they distance them-self from the truth within. Self-reflection has shown me this bluntly. Once you stop deceiving yourself, it can be very painful. You are left not only with the consequences of your lies, but beneath all the deceit lays the debased truth you originally rejected, waiting to be communicated honestly and objectively as it stands, before integrity can be restored, whether that means in your soul or something more trivial like politics.

Nice post yourself. I'm really enjoying reading this discussion. So true...politics is trivial. As painful as it is to reflect on what you're left with, it's the right step. Those who never stop the deceipt...well we might never really know.
