In a move that tacitly admits border crossings from Syria to Iraq by terrorists bent on destabilizing the Iraqi Interim government Syrias president, Bashar al-Assad agreed to set up joint border security teams to patrol the border and investigate infiltrations.

news.bbc.co.uk
Iraq and Syria have agreed to set up a special security force to stop fighters crossing their joint border into Iraq.

Iraq's deputy prime minister, Barham Saleh, and the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, reached agreement during a meeting in the Syrian capital Damascus.

The United States has blamed the presence of foreign fighters for inflaming the Iraqi insurgency.

Assad's agreement with Iraq's deputy prime minister, Barham Saleh on the border issue also seems to indicate Syrian acceptence of Iraqs new government as a viable and legitimate entity that will survive the current upheaval in Iraq.

Theres also this Reuters story on the same subject,

Syria Agrees to Work with Iraqi's on border Security

Salih said the Syrian president assured him that Damascus was keen on "preventing any form of infiltrations and that the borders are controlled from both sides." Salih said their views were "identical" on security issues.

"The Syrian side is, as President Bashar al-Assad emphasized, is ... interested in the stability of Iraq and the future of Iraq," he said

Thats a very telling statement from Assad.

Allow me to translate what President Bashar al-Assad was actually saying. He wants to restrict the flow of Zionist/JUDEO-Christian allied fifth column Kurds from moving freely across the border, into and out of Syria, by way of Iraq.

Do Iran and Syria see the writing on the wall? Perhaps, these two nations are trying to appease the so called Crusaders. I believe the U.S. will invade Syria next and this may happen within the next six months. Iran is fully aware of our intentions for further invasions of Middle Eastern states but they are not sure if they are next.
By displaying a jesture of compliance to the demands of the new Iraqui government maybe they are hoping that the U.S. will change its' mind and invade Syria first. If this happens it will give them further time to deploy nuclear military capability.

Flycatch, reverse the scenario and you've got it right. The Syrians do see the foregone conclusion of a democratic Iraq and want the attention to go to the Iranians. The arabs want a bomb but don't let anyone kid you that they like the idea of the Persians having one.

In dealing with the Washington, D.C. based Zionist/JUDEO-Christian terrorists the solution both for the Syrians and the Iranians, or any other sovereign state for that matter, is quite simple: Acquire "the bomb" and its accurate, reliable, redundant delivery mechanisms.

The nukes will quickly and efficiently cool the mercurial passions of not only Zionist zealots but any would-be wanna-be geopolitical/religious hegemon. If the nuclear deterrence fails to [[[chill]]] their passions then there's always the option of turning the heat up, so to speak

When it comes to international relations it will serve all leaders of all independent sovereign states to pay heed to neomoniker's motto: "If you can kill 'em you can trust 'em"
(You can quote me that.)

Yeah, I guess the Kurds are supposed to care more about the terrorist "Palestinians" than their own people being slaughtered by the virtuous righteous Arabs.

Sounds good. Turn up the heat in the earth's holy Arabian armpit.
