This book compares a modern western diet to that of the native tribes around the world, who all eat animal products. You can guess who's the winner.

I would love to perform this experiment. Except I would say 3 children - one Vegetarian, one Omnivore, and one Vegan.

Meat addiction is powerful.

It is difficult to think logically about this subject when you have such an extreme addiction to meat.

It is not impossible to eat meat and be healthy but moderation is the key.

Humans can not eat LOTS of meat and be healthy.

This proves my point above.

I'll say it again.

Explain the heavy-meat-eating French and the fish-dependent Japanese who have the highest life expectant in the world.

Take those same people.

Apply proper vegetarian diet.

Watch lifespans increase 6-10 years.

Until there's solid evidence for that, you cannot claim it as fact. India has the most vegetarians but their life expectancy falls behind 20 years.

Meat addiction is extremely powerful.

Hence the hostility from pointing out how unhealthy it is...

Ever try to take a pipe from a crack head?

Most people are addicted to meat both physical and mentally.

You know that sedated feeling you get from eating lots of meat?

If you try to eat healthier you will find you can fill up on other food but still feel "hungry" for that sedation.

Oh, and I thought I debunked yours.
We can go back and forth with this, so let this single word suffice: Evolution.

Fermenting Vats

Nearly all plant eaters have fermenting vats (enlarged chambers where foods sits and microbes attack it). Ruminants like cattle and deer have forward sacs derived from remodeled esophagus and stomach. Horses, rhinos, and colobine monkeys have posterior, hindgut sacs. Humans have no such specializations.

Listen, we don't need any more stupidity in this thread and silly unscientific claims such as "meat is addictive."

Humans are classic examples of omnivores in all relevant anatomical traits. There is no basis in anatomy or physiology for the assumption that humans are pre-adapted to the vegetarian diet. For that reason, the best arguments in support of a meat-free diet remain ecological, ethical, and health concerns.

[Dr. McArdle is a vegetarian and currently Scientific Advisor to The American Anti-Vivisection Society. He is an anatomist and a primatologist.]

I'm not offering you anymore time until you equally provide in this debate.

I have already proved this sentence wrong earlier in the debate. Omnivore in the sense of vegetables, nuts, fruits, grains, and insects maybe. Not meat from a mammal.
