I can understand all lot of worries reguarding all these latest floods, quakes, fish/birds/cattle suddenly dying ,To be Honest, i'm starting to think that something in the very near future is goin to cause massive devastation..
What I'm trying to ask is, would you want to know months in advance, and watch people going crazy with panic..suicides by the thousands..everyone fighting for a save haven...
Or would you rather it just suddenly happened...?

If its going to happen anyway I would like to know before it happens so I could enjoy time with friends and family before the storm.

ABSOLUTELY! I would do/act significantly differently if I knew it was game over soon.

First thing I would do is quit showing up to that damn "job", then I would stop paying taxes among virtually all other things.

I would take what I had left and do whatever the hell I wanted "legally of course" as I still do have some moral character at the end.

I would actually be kinda pissed if I knew I was spending my last days still working to push someone else s agenda instead of actually doing something for ME in my last hours.

I would rather know in advance if the end was nigh. Because then I'd like to say # it to school, and all the other things in my life that have held me back. Travel, make love, enjoy my final months on earth; and die knowing I atleast broke free of all these chains.

Assuming you mean the end of the world... not simply the end of the age of Walmart.

It really wouldn't matter because the outcome is going to be the same. If there are any hints... via Earthquakes and volcanoes and such before it actually all goes kaboom, the madness is going to be noticeable either way. People are going to get crazy as soon as the grocery stores run out of potato chips and Coke.

If it happens, it happens. In a way, I would consider myself lucky or perhaps, even blessed to have been here to witness the end. I mean, when it does happen... I don't think it's going out with a whimper.

Cheers

I think personally I'd like to know so I'd be able to make the most of the time I had left. Might spur me into something. I'd hate to die doing the same old boring rubbish day after day, really. And I think I'd probably be quite relaxed about it, not go mad, because there'd be no point. We're all gonna die anyway. I'd like to be able to watch it happen without it sneaking up on me.

On the other hand, the amount of madness that it would cause amongst most of people screaming that it isn't fair, looting and making a load of mess; I wouldn't like to see that. I'd like to end my days with the good of humanity (or at least the mediocre), rather than the bad and the screaming.

But yeah. I don't know. I thin I'd regret not doing a few things if I did know, but I'd be able to fit a lot more in if there was a while to go, so I'd like to know. But there's a big difference between people who could handle it and people who couldn't, and I think broadcasting it would cause too much trouble.

I'd like to think I'd be at peace with it though.

All of you mention that if the end was near, you'd want to know so you could enjoy your life...

Why not do that now? What's stopping you from doing it now, and why should the end of the world make the difference of whether or not you pursue your dreams?

We all die anyway, and you know it is going to happen, but because you perceive the luxury of time, you think you can wait for "the right time" to enjoy life... there is no right time, so you should do what makes you happy, otherwise, why call it living if you're really just surviving....

I guess I always assume it is near

I do think though, that scientists and governments should tell us if they know something is coming that might cause an ELE. Might cause panic but I think we have an absolute right to know what they know so we can make our peace and hold onto any hope we might still want to hold onto.

I think what everyone is saying is currently there are obligations to live in our society which would become moot if we had an exact knowledge of the timing of the end of the world.

With that said, if anyone could provide me an exact time for the end, I'll have an open party at my house for the last 48 hours!

I would want to know..my reasons being: If we didn't know..say..an asteroid were to hit and it did just out of nowhere BOOM!! Many people would be working or doing things they have to in their daily lives..but..if I knew for a year before hand I would live my whole life time in that year..I would literally pack up & hit the road and see all I could..meet all the people I could...I would live my last year free..no work..no bullcrap,no drama..just live. And on the final day I would kick back with a beer and a steak and watch the cosmic show knowing that my journey has just begun...Dying in the sense of the flesh is not the end..it is our organic end...our bodies die..your energy never dies.

personally...HELL YEAH!!! Here is the better question. Why wouldn't you want to know? Like the saying goes, "Deny ignorance." It bothers me enough to have to decipher fact and fiction of whats going on in the world. It would put my mind at ease and make me content. Of course this is my personal view and I am sure some people would go nuts. I don't think anyone deserves to be force fed constant lies for better or worse. Lies have gotten us where we are today. As another good saying goes, " The truth shall set you free."

I think you mean, would I want to know, along with everyone else? Not sure. How you are posing this question.

I totally understand what people are saying, I just wanted to point out what may not be so obvious...

And you just proved my point while opening a can of worms....

From what you just wrote, you can see what gets in the way of people's happiness... and it's designed that way. Society is a clever system made up of instruments of control. People are social creatures, we don't need to be controlled and governed to be civil... because if we were all happy, we wouldn't need anything from TPTB and the elite. Indians were plenty happy people... that is, till casinos came along.

If TPTB knew the end was coming, why would they tell us? So we could get in their way while THEY try to make peace and be with their family? We will only know if we find out for ourselves or when it's too late to do much about it.

Everyone knows the end is coming

Everyone quits their job

I quit my job

I want to visit japan as a lifelong dream...

sadly, I can't. all the pilots quit their job and flew off somewhere

I want to have a beer. Sadly, I can't. all the distributors quit their job and hoarded all the beer
I want to...etc...

I would want to know...I just wouldn't want everyone else to know.

Because if I approached my life like I would if I knew the world was ending, I would eventually be out on the streets. My idea of enjoying life has absolutely nothing to do with participating in ANY of the societies in the world.

And that is exactly my point...

Nobody would participate in society today if they knew WHEN the end was coming...

Yet, everyone participates in society today KNOWING for 100% sure that the end is coming, just not knowing WHEN....

See the paradox? We're all slaves to a society that we didn't create...

Nice post, friend.

The end is here! You are going to die!

The end is many years away! You are still going to die!

Limited time, thats what all of us have. Procrastinating living truly is made of nothing but excuses that are burned away by those that realize such things.

For this one, the end most certainly is near in almost every conceptual level. Whether it is in a day, in a year, or eighty years, the end is most certainly nigh. Fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the blink of an eye. What decisions do you wish to see when at the inevitable end, you are looking back on your life?

Oh yes indeed. I would LOVE to know! Think how great it would be!
1) Heck with the diet!
2) Forget trying to quit smoking.
3) All those people you secretly wanted to smack upside the head....... oh yeah baby.
4) Take the savings and buy a 1969 GT 500 Shelby and cruise, who the heck cares it only gets like 50 feet to the gallon.

My list could go on forever!
