I would hope a 14 year old would know the difference, If not, then he had issues. Once a psycho always a psycho. I'm sure it was the gun's fault.

Why would you buy a 14 year old a gun?!?

No!

This is not a gun control thread.

What happened to this kid? Watch the video, people knew this kid as an ordinary boy with no weirdness to him at all.

Just a few minutes before the shooting he was fine and dandy, then after he got the weapon he just snapped.

What is with this "Snapping"?

This is a very sad story to say the least
However I think it's an interesting question to ask.. what makes normal people snap?

www.allvoices.com
(visit the link for the full news article)

It's not about what made him snap, it's about him having a gun and wanting to shoot it.

That's why guns should be banned across the board.

People say it's not the gun that kills, but the person. Yes it's the persons action, but it's the tool that killed. If I was to ask you to put a screw in the wall, you would use a screw driver to do it. If I took that screw driver away from you, you wouldn't be able to put the screw into the wall.

...theres a lot of kids in graves because a parent couldnt control their own anger...

There's a big difference between a kick in the ass and beating someone to death, in such event the kick in the ass ain't the problem its the parent that is... Regardless of the system used to punish the kid whether points or with a good old ass whoop the kid will end up hurt if the parent can't control themselves... Your point doesn't make sense... Its like blaming the death of the father in the topic on the gun... cmon man think for a second..

...theres a lot of kids living on the streets because a parent couldnt control themselves...

There's also a lot of kids on the street because parents couldn't take their responsibility and show authority when the time was needed. There's also a lot of kids on the street because parents were too mellow and allowed the kids to do whatever they want and they did so... then ended up on the street...

There's a little "gang" of kids where I live they are about 12 years old... they hang at the local store and shout crap at people everything from F*** You to personal direct insults... And if you tell them to shut up they laugh at you saying "What are you going to do??? Beat me??? I'll report you and you'll get raped in jail... Cmon ass*hole I dare you to hit me!!!* That's what youth's coming at... when I was a kid I knew damn too well if I would of said that to any stranger in the town I would of got my ass kicked... and would of got it kicked AGAIN when I got home and my old man would of found out... so I behaved....

...maybe you just got lucky...

I did get lucky... my dad was there to show me the right way and to kick my little punk a$$ when I was being an a$$ and today I'm a well grounded and down to earth person and I'm by far more successful than some of the kids that had "points systems" I remember 2-3 kids back in school they were making fun of us saying "My parents are cool they don't kick my a$$ like yours, your parents are stupid" then they hit puberty and all went out of control... why??? because who's afraid of losing a "point" ??? couple of them went deep into drugs, two died in car accidents while drunk and killed other people in the car too, and one's a successful porn star... thats just a fancy name to say she swallow male genitals for a living...

Your arguments are weak, its like blaming the gun for the killing. You can't blame the kick in the ass for the parent that couldn't control themselves... You can't blame the act of physically punishing a kid for the people that just went nuts and beat their kids to death... Its not the medium of punishment delivery that is the problem, its the person that delivered it... And regardless it would of still happen remember you said so yourself "They couldn't control themselves..."

The MK Ultra crowd will be here any second.

The thing about such conspiracies that involve people, such as some black program, gives humans a sense of control. That humanity is in control.

No one likes to entertain the idea, that at times we lose control and it has nothing to do with humanity.

People would rather believe in psychoconspiratorial projects ran by humans than ponder a paranormal or parapsychological origin for such phenomena.

I had mentioned before in another thread the amazing accuracy of these shooters possibly having a parapsychological origin... no one replied.

If there is a non human element involved, I think it greatly disturbs people. Secret societies and other such conspiracies, offer a sense of hope. The bad guys are human and we can fight back.

On the other hand, nonhuman phenomena is somewhat hopeless. We can't understand or relate to it. We can't fight it. It is unknown, alien and awefully horrifying.

Wrong thread perhaps? lol

What are you babbling on about?

Violence as means of discipline teaches violence. The message is "he who is bigger and more violent wins."

Sorry, not what I want my children learning.

Most incidents that I have read about this end up being cases of physical/emotional/psychological/sexual abuse. It is sad but true. The mother figure is killed for allowing it to happen (assuming they didn't participate). The abuse creates Dissociative Identity Disorder/Multiple Personality Disorder.

Abuse/torture/rape creates a condition called "disassociation." When the abuse reaches a certain point the mind goes away. It splits and a new personality is implemented which receives the abuse. This is an adaption so the child can remain relatively sane in day to day activities with their abusers so everything looks "normal." A sane reaction to an insane world.

But the mind also splits and creates "protecter personalities" which take over the body to protect the child. In cases such as this one the protecter personality probably came out and killed the family. The original personality then took over the body and called the police.

Another, already suggested, possibility is a psychopath, but this is less likely because he called the police himself.

Not that I want to argue but physical punishment of children have been used for the last ummmmmm thousand years... and only started declining in the last 20-25 years and replaced by more "passive" methods... However how many case of mass school shooting and kids murdering their father, mother, sister and god knows what else happened 50 years ago??? no dude... it started in the last decade... and just keeps growing monstrously whether you wish to admit it to yourself or not "point system" and "passive punishment" has now gotten kids greedy, selfish and fearless... and you'll remember my words when yours look at you in the face and tell you to f*** o*** and start laughin do you know why??? because they aren't afraid of you and there's NOTHING you can do anymore...

But Karma does bite you in the ass, give a child a killing machine.. Karma comes around and takes your life.

There are literally hundreds of things in an average home that could be used as a "killing machine".

I wonder if these gun control posters blamed their spelling mistakes in school on their pencils?

People kill people, but a gun adds an extra measure of effeciency and range. If somebody has a knife, you can run, or have half a chance of wrestling it out of their hands.

A gun is a not something you need, but something you want. If you NEED a gun, then you live in a messed up country.

This reminds me of a strange story:
www.france24.com...

The boy killed his family but what the article doesn't say is that the child told a Figaro journalist that he had visions of beings and was really scared :
www.letelegramme.com... 9.php

.

He also told a friend that voices pushed him to do this.

Mental illness? Paranormal activity? One of many cases of unexplained murders committed by kids.

AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE, STOP GIVING KIDS ACCESS TO GUNS

...my post to you had nothing to do with the thread topic... it was solely a response to your post condoning parents who use violence to teach discipline... imo, parents who discipline that way are not intelligent enough to think of a non-violent way or they're just too lazy...

...parent however you wish... lets not derail the thread with our differing views on that topic..

He did not want to shoot it. And if he did not have a gun and wanted to kill someone, he would have found some other way.

Please deny ignorance. Guns are more likely to stop violence than not.

On first try yes. However, if the child continues to be retarded and annoying, a good smack makes them stop. See, as a grade school and high school anti bully, this was ultimately the weapon of last resort. And you know what? It worked. Now logically speaking I could have just smacked them one good hit and end it all. But it's far more enjoyable to beat them verbally and mentally, then beat them physically. You see, that destroys them across the board. I learned how to take care of kids because I was a kid. It's a simple solution. I know what made me tick then, and I use it to know what makes them tick now.

I got my first paint ball gun when I was 13. It was fun. It's just as lethal as a pistol when used correctly (Frozen paint ball or iron ball straight to the eye at full pressure kills a man). But you see, I was not retarded as a child. Thus, I never hurt anyone.

besides, it seems like this kid was not conscious of his actions. As if sleep walking or something. He seems too normal to break for no reason.

Guns. Not to mention the violence that's glorified on tv and in video games. Combine those and you have the recipe for incidents like this.

I believe his curiosity got them better of him and just for fun he pulled the trigger to see what would happen. He had a moment of stupidity.

Ok, so one would use a hammer and a nail. Didn't you read through the comments? Its been said that he received the gun in September, not a couple of days ago. So there is no excitement from just recently receiving the gun. This is calculated. He chose to continue on after shooting not one person in the head, but two, and then a third.

I really don't think he would be on any drugs unless it would be for ADHD. They seem to be from a small town outside of a big city which tells me the family most likely wouldn't have taken him to the doctor unless necessary. I don't know of any 14 year olds that would be prescribed a sleeping aid. I would question the doctor if so.

This boy just isn't right. Something will come to light. You just don't shoot 3 of your relatives all in the head. You can't do that, say "I don't know" and still be considered sane. If we can't agree on that, then maybe some of you are a bit 'lost'. IMO.

There are lots of ways to put a screw into a wall, Just like you can kill people with lots of things besides guns. Getting rid of guns is not the answer to the problem. Our total lack of good mental health clinics are the serious problem. Both boys probably had some psychiatric problems that were undiagnosed. If everyone had better access to counselors, these people might get the help they need before resorting to violence.

I cannot reason why. When I was 14 I was taking apart my paintball gun to see how it works. I never fired it to see what happened. It's obvious what will happen.

Unless the kid was retarded, he was in full knowledge of what would happen. Therefore, and judging by his words adn attitude, he did it without realizing, and was in shock when he called the police.

You know, all of this blaming the availability of guns for the violence among teens is ridiculous. When my husband was a kid growing up in NYC, the teens brought their rifles to school for shooting class in public school! Yup, guns on the buses and subways. Loads of 'em and no kids got shot, no teachers got shot. So, no it can't be the availabilty of guns for kids. No, that's not the problem. It is not the guns. Its the mentality of these kids.

The moral depravity of the youth today is the problem. They're not being raised to know right from wrong. They aren't held accountable for their actions (just take a look at the thread on the Middle School Violence that's generated so much discussion on ATS and you 'll see what I mean.

This generation is almost animalistic in their callousness toward violence and rebellion against authority.
