I think we do receive an u2u if someone add you has a rival .. but not if someone add you has a friend

before we had 2 lists .. very easy to know .. but now its not
you have to click on a profile and check for yourself

is there any other way ?
going through our 2 hundred thousand ATS members profile to know who added you is to long for me

thanks

Well, I know my profile has who I have selected as a friend. But I am seeing no way to check on who has selected me as a friend.

Was there not two lists before? (each 2 foe/2 friend)

People I have selected as friends.
People that have selected me as a friend.

People I have selected as foes.
People that have selected me as a foe.

That is what I remember the old profile looking like, but my memory is worse than "insert bad thing here".

Do any mods know the answer ??
it would be cool to bring back the old lists display ..

and in the same time .. we dont need any rival list
this is useless .. and most people dont even use the rival list ..
ignore is enough if someone can stand another member..

i think it bring a certain aspect of negativism that we dont need on ATS
i petition to reinstate the old 2 friend list and remove the useless rival list

The list of people who add you as a friend is there, but slightly hidden.
Go to your profile, click on "Friends".
The list down the left side will now be of those who friended you, instead of the iist of those you chose yourself that appears on the main profile.

I did not notice this!

thanks... and i thought it was gone!

But there are a few friends who have added me and vice versa who arent there.

EDIT: Just checked again. I am missing quite a few people. I know I have more than this! Is there a limit to the list of how many you can have?

Is this a bug/glitch?

I've seen other people make that complaint.
So it could be a glitch.

The friends list on your profile says this: "These are the ATS members with whom I've found similarity of thought in our quest for denying ignorance"

These are people whom you have chosen, in order to follow their threads, it makes it easier to do so. They are not really "friends" it is not a two way street, they have no clue you have friended them. This is an informational site, not a social network.

On the bottom of the page after you have gone to the "tools" page, it says "show ribbon", on the ribbon is a button that says "friends threads", that will show you all the posts rescently made by those people. That is the purpose of the friends list on ATS.

With respect, they do know that they've been chosen, if they follow the advice I gave the OP.

"This isn't facebook"
Better quit "liking" threads then. (Flags/stars)

And facebook isn't ATS (Which had a friends list long before facebook did. I think, if not AIM did, so did yahoo messenger. Hell I have a "friends list" in my desk, it's called my "address book" in RL.)

Anyway, I am not anti-social. And I like to thank others for adding me as a friend, I know I have missed a few (and if you few read this, THANKS for adding me! I would add you, but I do not know whom you are.) You are he works, as well as you are him, so I went with whom (sue me)

All well, I am off to check what another poster suggested. "Clicking on friends in ones profile"

Apparently this will show me those who have selected me as a friend. If so, thank you in advance...oh and a "fake star" since we can not star the posts that are helpful in the help threads............
