Buffalo, are not usually bothered by sub zero weather..
The calving of most of the cow herds is usually jan-feb-mar.
This is a time when the farmers/ranchers usually pay very close attention to their cattle herds.
Should other mass deaths occur, we will hear about them swiftly.
Till now the explanations have been fairly resonable
Vietnam has been hit by extremely colder weather than normal....this is a possible explanation for them.
The 200 cow die off is the one that seems top conform closely with the scenario, but the buffalo have been dying over three months.
As the biffalo weas nearly wiped off the face of earth at one point,it is possible that the genetic variety of their species has deteriorated to the
point where inbreeding has weakened their ability to survive in ways we havent recognized?
The death of 17/23 calves, is remarkable, and may be the smoking gun.
However, that does leave the deaths of 38 adults over the intervening period as well to explain.
As the water tests are not in yet, it would be advisable to await some more info in that rtegard before we run and tell the king..................
