Honestly, I sometimes wonder how low McDonalds will go.
THE Australian Medical Association said today it hoped the involvement of McDonald's Australia boss Guy Russo in the launch of National Diabetes Week was not a publicity stunt aimed at cleaning up the fast food chain's image.

"The concern here obviously is that by linking yourself with a good cause such as Diabetes Australia you somehow sort of clear your image."

I guess I don't really need to provide a weblink of proof that Mcdonalds put a lot of sugar on their menu. All you have to do is eat one of their burger buns and you can taste it.
Mcdonald's involvement on the Diabetes Australia Board is bizarre in light of this. If their motivation is to improve their corporate image, then this idea doesn't seem so strange.
I think it's sad that the Diabetes Association hasn't publicly questioned the Mcdonalds menu and its sugar contents. At least I havn't seen that happen as yet. I doubt we will ever see this, as I'm sure a lot of donation money has been thrown their way.
