Dig it. Enjoy.

Please note - this is the first demo. No effects and not mixed-down enough. But let me know how it is!

Edit - I play all the instruments and sing.

And here's the one that I based it off of; Johnny Cash isn't the original composer. I believe it was Shel Silverstein?

Thanks, yeah. I also did an REM cover (Losing my religion), and another cover by 311 (Eons). I'm not a cover one-man-band, but I really felt the need to revamp the songs.

The Losing My Religion one needs the vocals to be redone. I did a crappy take and then I pitch corrected them. That screwed up the timing and everything.

We all have our likes and dislikes. Good thing about music is there is no right or wrong.

As far as the kick - I agree with the first run in the beginning of the song, but as far as the end is concerned, it's all about the buildup.

Plus the song has a gradual linear tempo increase of 20 BPM from the time the song kicks in to when it ends.

And sorry the kick offended you. I'll tell it to keep to itself more.

Also - I do more hard-rock, punk, thankyouverymuch.

This version (2.0) should do the trick:

Wow! Really well done

Vocals, instruments, mix - everything.
The REM song sounded like Social Distortion covering it.
You have a great voice, lotsa tone and grit and keeps a tune.
You don't need a band, you IS one
