Seeing how down right crippled fear has made us as a society. Should Fear be labeled? Pandemic anyone? I have a question for everyone. When was the last time you weren't influenced one way or another By Fear to buy, sell, or trade.

There is healthy fear (evolutionary fear such as a fear of snakes, fire, heights) and there is unhealthy fear (fear of black cats, spilled salt, speaking in public, etc). Evolutionary fears have kept humans alive and are 'smart' fears. The unhealthy fears are already labeled by the DSM-IV. (Psychology book .. check it out online sometime).

Lots of fears are labeled - phobias and disorders etc.

Definitely. I just see it to be a motivation that is used so much. It seems to be the focus in ads, media, t.v. Is this necessary for todays evolutionary process?
