interesting party demonstration , but really only modular operation.

your age = 2011-birthyear

you assert:
birthyear + age =111

Some quick substitution to get birthyear and age

Mod(birthyear, 100) + (2011 - birthyear)

move around the compents
2011 + mod(birthyear,100) - birthyear

Pull out a negative:
2011 -(birthyear - mod(birthyear,100) )

results are either
2011 - (1900) = 111
2011 - 2000 = 11
2011 - 1800 = 211

woohoo math

You can do the same equasion with any year.

The last two digits you come up with will be the year you are in.

Oh, my that is freaky. I have been seeing it everywhere as well, usually my digital clock and cell it seems everytime I glance at it that's the time. I get the shivers from it though and not the happy, happy, love feeling others seem to relate it to. Thanks for the post. I will pass it along.

Lol! Star for you because mine added up to 111 too! I thought to myself "full of sh**". I was wrong.

I came to ATS for everything but premonitions, and prophecy. This thread grabbed my attention. I started thinking that I too have been seeing 11's for years. I wake up and it's on the clock, I see it a lot for about a decade. Could someone U2U me and give me some ideas on what to research to find out what his may mean so I don't disrupt the thread please?

This is quite an interesting thread.

Math can do some amazing things sometimes, mine is 111 also. I learned something today.

Star for you because this is exactly what I thought.

Reminds me of that old maths trick.......

Think of a number, any number

Double it

add 30

half it

subtract the first number you thought of

Bet your left with 15

Thanks for all your comments, Even if it comes down t being simpe math, that is still amazing, and doesn't explain why so many peope are attracted to the number combinations of 11's

It stands out to me, I cannot ignore that of all the times that I see a clock daily, only at 11:11 does it feel profound

Look at your numerology profile. Maybe you have a 11 somewhere in it (especially in your core 5)...

Why'd ya do it, huh? Why???

Isn't it awesome how numerology can just conveniently and arbitrarily ignore parts of the whole.

FYI the year is 2011. NOT 11.
So these 'special' dates are actually 1/1/2011 1/11/2011 11/1/2011 11/11/2011

Is it the large quantities of 1's that are special? or 11's? or 111?

Why are you allowed to subtract 2000 from the year?
Isn't our current calendar just arbitrarily made up based on a fictional characters death?
Shouldn't Year 0 be the start of the universe or something like that? (making the current year 13,752,398,921ish?)

If ya'll think this is crazy just wait untill 12/12/12..

Then we will wait for 13/13/13 then 14/14/14 then 15/15/15 and so on..
The 111 thing, I thought was cool, blew my mind at first, but when you think about it.. Of course it will add to 111, it just simple maths..

I propose this be the new method of calculating our chronological age.

Although we should really care more about our biological age.

I haven't read all the posts here but uh.... the mathematics here are really simple...

you can do this for every single year.

If the year is 2010, and you're going to be 26 years old, you were born in 1984. 84+26 is 110.

You will get 110, for every single age you try, just like you are getting 111 now.

This is not in any way signifigant. it is like this for every year, before and after 2011.

This year we will experience 4 unusal dates contianing these combinations, which may seem eerie or odd on it's own, but did you know that if you take the last 2 digits of your birthyear, and add the age that you will be this year, you get 111?

Starting to really grab my attention!

How is it possible to add up t 111 every time???
edit on 18-1-2011 by space cadet because: (no reason given)

Not had chance to read through all the posts yet, but the dates are actually....

1/1/2011 1/11/2011 11/1/2011 and 11/11/2011 which I think add up to 8092.

Not so strange now!

Really.. only 3 pages of posts and you can't be bothered to read them before you post. If there was 11, 111 or 1111 pages, I might understand.
