From the bizarre world of one unusual woman known as Courtney Love who is once again in trouble with the courts for failure to appear for a hearing is now in the hospital for a "gynecological medical condition". Love once stared in a popular movie about the life of Larry Flint the producer of pornographic magazines and videos. Love in her role in the movie played the prostitute lover of Flint who was an addict and died a tragic death. It would seem that Love's real life drama is now mirroring this infamous role..

LOS ANGELES - Rock star Courtney Love was hospitalized in New York on Friday after a warrant was issued for her arrest when she failed to appear in a Los Angeles court for arraignment on an assault charge, her attorney said.

"She is hospitalized in New York area hospital," attorney Michael Rosenstein said. "It is not a suicide attempt, not drug-related, not drug-overdose related," he said. "It's a gynecological medical condition for which she is receiving treatment. This is all thirdhand, I have not spoken with her since last night, when she complained of medical problems, had not seen doctor and as a result the situation was exacerbated."

Earlier, Rosenstein had told a Los Angeles court that Love was in New York City and was confused about whether she was required to be in Los Angeles.

Love has now forfeited her $55,000 bail for her failure to appear in court and new bail set at $150,000.

Friday was her 40th birthday.

Um_Gazz, her husband shot himself in the mouth with a shotgun. I know they were almost filing for divorce but I would have thought that would haunt anyone...

I'm amazed that she hasn't ended up in a hospital sooner. I think this may be a ploy though because she didn't show up in court.

I saw it, it was inconclusive. Another thought would be that he killed himself to get away from her. If I was 40 lbs lighter it would look like my only option too. BTW, I loved his tunes.

Courtney Love? Bah who cares, she sucks balls. I will admit I did like the first Hole cd... Yeah I was young back then.
