Dear ATS Mods and Members,

I was hoping to create a new thread with the help of both Mods and Members by which we could post Dates , Titles and Links so that we could form a chronological overview of the most prominent Earth Events and World Mysteries for the year ahead.

It occurred to me that many stories are lost or forgotten over the course of a year and this would be a good way of having an overview of the more important or poignant issues that have occurred or will occur this year .

I was thinking the best way to do this would be to start a post with a Date, Title and a Working Link to the title and have all these stories contained and centralised in one easy to locate thread. This way, each day, Mods or Members could stop by and post their event/s and link/s.

The aim is not to overload the thread with information but to make it look as easy on the eye and as simple but effective as possible.

I will get to work on the more significant news stories that have broken so far in January, to focus mainly on Earth Changes (Earthquakes, Floods, Tsunamis, Cold Weather/Snow etc) and World Mysteries (Dead Animals, Ufo Sightings, New Crop Circles and so on) with some additonal inclusions of War, Politics and so on..

Perhaps we could later introduce some form of mapping system highlighting the areas of the world most effected by any given anomalies and think of ways of developing the thread in more depth.

Please put forward your posts in the following format and only from todays date (17/Jan/2011)

01/Jan/2011 "Thousands of dead blackbirds" ( www.bbc.co.uk... )
01/Jan/2011 "Australia's Queensland faces 'biblical' flood" ( www.bbc.co.uk... )

Following Day (In a Fresh Post)

02/Jan/2011 "Snowstorm Took Bite Out of Big Apple" ( www.thejakartaglobe.com... )
02/Jan/2011 "Australia floods: Residents wake up surrounded by water" ( www.bbc.co.uk... )

Many thanks in advance and i hope you all, like me, feel this will be a worthwhile venture.
P.S. I will post the main stories from the 1-17th once I have compiled and completed the list.

This is a great idea. Finally, one place to keep track of it all. 2011 is off to one hell of a weird start, and I think this ride is only going to get crazier by the day. Nice idea for a thread OP.

Ok i have to admit defeat and put this thread to bed. I did try but without ATS members input it would require daily monitoring and updating which i dont realy have the time for unfortunatly.

Never mind though im sure we can all just dig deep over the years threads to weed out any info we want.

Cheers!

Do not give up!!
Why don't we just ask the mods to open up a 2011 forum? one that focuses on the dead animals and mainly natural disasters and weird stuff(not NWO or UFOS or politics).

Good idea much?
