Three LA Police shot a naked, unarmed man twice and he later died at a hospital. The mans neighbor said he had never seen the suspect drunk and never knew him to be violent. The man was obviously unarmed but was shot and killed anyway. It seems things in the Los Angeles police department are as crooked as ever.msn.foxsports.com...

Umm... tazer perhaps!?[snip] ridiculous. Why would you shoot a naked guy with live ammunition and not a [snip] taser. Even if they didn't have one, multiple cops can't handle a single dude? A better idea might be to call in backup if you can't handle the guy, instead of ending his life. Or even shoot his leg if you have to! His arm! Anything but shooting his vital organs. Nice job [snip] fail cop.

Perhaps we'll find out more, maybe video footage from car cams.

I got to say, that if I was stuck in a hallway and being punched by a football player who was naked as a jaybird and acting like a lunatic on crack, and he made a grab for my weapon, I'd probably have shot him too.

If he actually got the gun, I'm pretty sure who he would have used it on first.

As far as why they didn't "shoot him in the leg" that doesn't float; whether you are a cop or not, you're trained to aim for center of mass, until it becomes a muscle memory.

I don't trust the police statement that he went for their gun. Police, especially the LA police have lied many times before to protect each other. I would think that three cops could handle one suspect without shooting him twice. Tells me that you better not resist any attempt to be detained by the police or they will shoot first and ask questions later. This is a young man that apparently has had no trouble with the law before this incident.

had a very nasty feeling that got worse as i continued to read the article looking for a photo of Reginald Doucet Jr.

gave up opened another tab and googled his name and there it was: He was black.

the LAPD needs to be abolished this trash just doesn't/will not change.

it's always the same excuse: they were afraid
so they had to kill him.

won't say anymore as I risk could be a violation of ATS's T&C

It's a signal of your idiocy that you presume I am in law enforcement - I am not.

I am retired Navy. Never been a cop.

But I can understand what happened.

EDIT: by the way, it's you're not your got it?
