Herbal remedies face licence rule

Hundreds of traditional and imported remedies on the shelves of health food shops and herbalists are set to be banned under new licensing rules.

The EU directive aims to protect users from any damaging side-effects that can arise from taking unsuitable medicines.

Only high quality, long-established and scientifically safe herbal medicines will be sold over the counter.

Some traders who sell products imported from outside the EU say their business will be hit.

Rest is here : www.bbc.co.uk...

Basically the MHRA won't even be the MHRA any more will it? It'll just be an arm of the EU's drug banning group, designed to screw people over as and when it can.

Oh, no! Now people will only have access to safe, accurately labeled, scientifically-proven remedies!

But where will they get their snake oil? Oh, woe is me!

But the stuff they're banning isn't all bad. Never mind. Accept only what the government tells you. Do your job, pay your bills, then die. Remember not to think too much either. And watch what you read around here, don't go opening your mind now, the government won't be happy with that.

Not sure if this place is scientifically proven either, so be careful.
