I love these threads! Reading the replies is so amusing!
I fully agree with you tho, what better way to cut humanity off from the creator than to obscure the inspiration we receive from the Divine? What better way to control a people than by controlling the flow of information they have? Thanks to the provision the creator made for humanity (which is not the tale of a hanging man by the way) the powers that be were not able to keep the scriptures from spreading so if you cant beat em' join em'! Join, Distort, get them arguing, CONQUER! The question is what parts have been distorted and why?
When I first started questioning the teachings of the church (cult?) I used to attend, the question of whether I should just throw the bible out with the bath water hounded me, I also couldnt understand why what I then refered to as god was still communicating with me if my belief in the son and the holy word was slipping, so I communicated back and was like WTF!?? I dont believe in you anymore!! And he (and when I say he I mean it) said Yes you do! So I was like "well I cant read your bible anymore it (insert expletive here) me off" and he (it) sighed (none of this was audible by the way incase your wondering if I am a madwomen.... with a box.....) and said "dont you think that was the point? Obscure the message to confound the masses then control the result? Read between the lines and always keeping in mind what you know of me" and then we battled out about some other stuff..... Because Im a very arguementative person you know, always gotta be right even when up against the Divine!
Anyway the point of all my rambling is that the true message of the bible, specifically the old testament has been distorted by the true enemy (who is not a devil although they do act like one) so that only the initiated (and the persistent who read and read over and over again untill their heads hurt!) can see, only the initiated obviously ignore the message and probably scoff at it......... Otherwise society would be as Eden again and the sceptre of Eden would fall back into the hands of us commoners

Anyway sorry if my reply was too long or too insane....... Sanity is overated anyway.....

I see, but remember, He only came once as a Lamb of God. Next time He's going to be the Lion. He comes in Revelation, Isaiah, and Ezekiel to wage war against the beast.

I see.

Thank You

In the old testimate it states God will send a saviour, in jesus times he says he is Gods "SON" , The deciples asked jesus lord are yougod jesus replied no I am a son of god as you and all man are sons of god, the deciples asked jesus during the last supper lord where will you go, jesus replied to heaven to sit on my fathers right side you need to re read the book with your own eye, not that of the precher/pastor, popes eye. They are decievers and you are falling prey to lucifer/satan..
edit on 19-1-2011 by prexparte because: (no reason given)

I did, actually, and I also read this: "My Father is not your Father, your Father is the Devil." So, which is it? Are you a son of God, or a son of the Devil? And friend, God, nor Christ, wrote nothing down, not one thing was ever written about the Christ until some 70 years after his death.

I was under the impression that the Talmud(Oral Law) was a written form of the previous 1500 years of traditional oral laws. These oral traditions only being written down(in todays recognized form) in 70ce. However many scholars contest that it took around 130 years(5 generations) just to compile it by 70ce. They originally began to write down the oral laws because said oral laws were being lost to the ages(1500 years is a long time). Not because they hate christians.

The context of his questions is about God. He calls Him "the Holy", or in Hebrew "the Holy One".

Cool, I live downtown, i can see Lucas Oil Stadium from the sidewalk in front of my house.

He set another parable before them, saying:

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away. But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also. The servants of the householder came and said to him, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?'

"He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.'

"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and gather them up?'

"But he said, 'No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

The answer is really quite easy to understand; but do not over-burden yourself with analyzing something which is both known "so well." It is not needed or required. This is "simple truth," available to all who offer the explanation understanding with no confounding. To rationality, the statement needs no interpretation or explaining. It is what it is.

O you Christians, whose lives are good, you sigh and groan as being few among many, few among very many. The winter will pass away, the summer will come; lo! The harvest will soon be here. The angels will come who can make the separation, and who cannot make mistakes.

I tell you of a truth, my Beloved, even in these high seats there is both wheat, and tares, and among the laity there is wheat, and tares. Let the good tolerate the bad; let the bad change themselves, and imitate the good. Let us all, if it may be so, attain to God; let us all through His mercy escape the evil of this world.

Let us seek after good days, for we are now in evil days; but in the evil days let us not blaspheme, that so we may be able to arrive at the good days
-- St. Augustine

With everything and potential pleases only brooding nothingness,
Waiting on expression, a thought, with inspiration as Divine?
A time, times, and half-a-time leaves witness to become being much,
Appreciating the universe in watching wishes on a star?
As the frame falls from the wall as it cracks as a run-of-time,
It never remains itself a former glory, neither fame.
A reference-point during moments, a reminder of forgotten dreams,
And to be forgotten in cold eons of perpetual restraint.
To wait for light at revelation’s remains against to which break,
To tear-down every point from which cord drew the portrait to hang Sublime?
