No,i called you a sheep because you took it like a sheep.
You passively backed off and cared for yourself.
Who cares about others then?
We pay for our indifference.everyone.Even you.

What do you suggest we should have done?

The only possibility I can imagine is violence.

I don't see a legitimate justification for indiscriminate violence in the face of institutionalized stupidity.

The only true source of rebellion that makes any difference at all, is boycotting.

You probably missed my comment. Let me say this again. You can't simply boycott something that you need. Many people depend on flying for their jobs. Maybe not you, but millions of people do. There are no alternatives.

Well if you choose to underestimate growing economies, that's your problem
Hope we're both alive to see what happens in the end.War seems inevitable.
But nuclear attacks too during cold war.

Oh, so your post is really a "do what I say not as I do" thing? "You Americans should protest your government, but I'm scared of my government and don't protest them," is what your saying?

Worry about your own little pond and let us worry about ours.

I never said violence.
But remember how Ghandi died.

Was I supposed to personally go put a stop to it?

I live in a small town, have two small children, and am completely flat freakin broke. What should I have done? Taken money out of the mouths of my children to buy a plane ticket to go who even knows where to protest? Should we have had a parade of picketers outside of the whitehouse? Should I have risked possibly getting arrested for said protest leaving my babies without their mommy for an extended period of time? Because, yea, that sounds like something I would want to do.

I am just not really sure what you think we should have done. We don't pass the laws... the "elected" officials do.

I appreciate your support though. Maybe you should have traveled on over here to organize the protest for us since you are so concerned about it.

So that makes you a sheep too! We'll get more than a nightstick or a boot kissing. We'll get tossed in a landfill, or burnt alive in our cars etc........

No that's a want.

They can lose their jobs and still live. There are other jobs.

You want to fly. You don't need to.

All you "need" is food water shelter.

All else are "wants".

Is this really how spoiled people are now? Airplanes are a Right and we Need them?

What are you gonna do when a big volcano erupts downwind and cancels all flights for a week?
RIGHT, Drive or take a boat or train. It's so terrible.

No sir.
Way different situations.
When was the last time a journalist(my career) went to jail,or was beaten by a mob in America?
When was the last time a band of motorbikes sabotaged elections in america?
when was the last time you switched presidents in America?

EXACTLY MY POINT!

Why don't you worry about fixing your own countries' problems instead of telling Americans what we're supposed to do. We internally fought for every "right" we have in the US, from labor laws (see Haymarket Riot) to civil rights.

Fight your government for what you believe Venezuela should be. Let us fight ours.

That's the problem we are facing.

In the US, our media says the enemy is the outside world.

Anywhere in the outside world, the media says the US is the enemy.

In both cases, the media is lying 100% to control and condition us.

The governments of non US nations, such as Venezuela, spend a massive amount of time focusing their media on the ill's of US policy, while misdirecting the population from their own nations inequities and social issues.

This same tactic is applied on US citizens, but in reverse. We are trained to focus on the ills of other nations, while ignoring the downfalls and problems within our own.

This is propaganda 101, and explains why you find more fault with another nations govt than with your own.

The truth is, your govt and my govt are best friends and in bed together. They lie on TV and say they are enemies, to scare us and get us under control. But in reality we are still secret buddies working together to control our own populations.

In America, a popular brand of gasoline is named "Citgo". You know who Citgo is? The Man.
You know who Citgo pwns? You and me at the same time.

First steal the fuel from your land, then rape my pocket for it. Win Win. Double up or nothin!

Hello fellow ATSers.
I have bad news for you.
Do you remember the TSA Pat down,Enhanced Pat Downs and see-thru X-Ray at the airport?
I just want to congratulate you Americans for taking it like a sheep,a slave, and surrendering in record-time.
I don't hear about protests anymore.I don't see new threads anymore,i don't hear you talking about it.
This proves that even the big old America, the free, the strongest people that love their freedom and their right, can also be the biggest pushovers.
It's the oldest example of millions getting trampled by a few powerful men and women.
You just get used to it,and that's it.
It will only get worse from here.
Hide yo kids Hide yo wife.
They're raping everybody out there

Actually, the American people took it like sheep when they allowed the implementation and renewal (twice) of the Patriot Act 10 years ago.

They're about to take it like sheep again when Obama renews the act soon. Wait until it's renewed permanently, Americans still won't protest in the street.

You can guarantee that renewal of the Patriot Act will barely get coverage in the MSM, even if it is a permanent renewal. Only one person will vote against it, Ron Paul.

the problem is,Belarus has been stuck with his dictator for 16 years,we already have been with Chavez for 11 years. It's not up to citicens but up to a close knit group of people with some power to overthrow the administration. Did you see what happened on the last Belarus elections?
By the way, don't you dare, any of you, discuss other countries problems.
Look how im being bashed for not standing up to the military board.
Twas nice speaking to all of you anyways.

Actually, as far as I know, so many Americans were refusing the scanners, and opting for patdowns, that every flight I have taken since that Thanksgiving, the Xray Scanners have been off to the side, roped off, and I have passed through a metal detector with ease since then.

Good job, America, don't listen to the OP here.

However, bad job America for letting our politicians even waste money on stuff that we have to protest about

I have a different perspective of Americans after getting all your replies.
You'd rather gang up on a foreign person talking about your problems than talking about them yourself.
I feel so welcome now.And i will segregate with my own kind.To each his own
I'll go back to my peaceful socialist revolution.(sarcasm)

You can discuss my country and I can discuss your country. Nothing wrong with that. It's all good worthwhile subjects to get into.

But starting a thread based on calling people names, and making fun of a blanket group of 300million folks who are all totally different individuals with different beliefs ideals lifestyles etc, is extremely ignorant.

That is why I replied as a jerk, because I like to mirror the person I speak with emotionally. It's a habit.

I am just saying, starting a thread founded on name-calling and insults is NOT the right foot to get a thread started off on.

I haven't been trampled by anybody. I go where I want, when I want, with no hindrances. Granted I haven't been in an airport in thirty years, I don't like to fly. If I want go somewhere, I usually drive there. I go to Canada on a regular basis to see my mother and I never have any problems.
