Am I alone in my belief that we could 'draft' Donald Trump to run for president in '012 ? I believe that if the american people were to petition him to run, as an alternative to Barry Obama, he could win. Any takers out there for a "Dump the Chump and vote for Trump" campaign?

What are his qualifications to be a good president? Why do you think he would make a good president? Have you seen the original long form birth certificate for his hair?

Donald Trump is ten times more qualified than Obama to be president. It's my belief that the time has come for a relative outsider to clean up tha swamps in Washington, DC. If the polling data showed that he could win, he just might run. I would love to see the Donald, POTUS! Sorry about the location, I thought this was US Political Madness

I was just guessing it was in the wrong spot and the mods would eventually move it but they seem a little backed up these days.

How so? That was my question. I assumed that by positing a potential 2012 victory, you feel he is the better choice. I am asking why and how.

I can not say I have any argument with idea of something different in Washington, I am not sure I want just any old TV personality to take the job. Can you sway me?

Are you actually Donald in disguise?
Or is SO?

I'm confused now

America hasn't had a viable third party candidate since Ross Perot 15 years ago. He wanted our government run like a business or a household running on a REAL budget. Once he surpassed the 30% mark in the polls, he disappeared from the race, most likely fearing the death of his family from the banksters. Thus, Clinton wins, and we lose.

I would welcome Trump as POTUS! He's experienced dozens of knock-down failures, and keeps getting back up. I may not like his demeanor, but he has SO much more experience. The biggest plus for the Donald...... he truly loves America.

My first thought as well.

I wonder if this is some sort of underground ATS movement, lets see how many members we can get on our side to support Trump before we go public. Perhaps its an ATS movement to move away from JLL and more towards the Donald. haha

By the way, the SNL Trump commercials are hilarious!
Can you imagine him in the White House the way that Darrell hammond plays him
HA!

Ok the forum has been updated so now I can give Slayer the star i tried to earlier

Yes, I think I can sway you. Since a massive ego would be one requirement, we're good there. As far as business expertise, Trump has lost it all at least once in the past. He owes nothing that I'm aware of. The guy in charge right now has never had to make a payroll, or ever really had a job outside of the public sector. He's cluless when it comes to understanding what the small business man contends with in this country. All Obama is, is a community organizer. All he knows is what he's learned in school, and that's why he's not qualified for the job.

I am with you there. I agree it is both necessary for the job and Trump has it in spades.

As far as business expertise, Trump has lost it all at least once in the past. He owes nothing that I'm aware of.

How did he get back from losing it all? Do you know how many times he has failed and been bailed out? Is he self made or was he handed a lot to lose to begin with? I understand he is rich now but so is Paris Hiltion, you know?

I believe I am all clear that you do not like Obama. I hardly feel it is a productive course for any country to simply look to someone else because they are not that guy. If I ask what would make Trump a great president, telling me Obama is a community organizer does not make that argument any more than saying the guy down the block collects strange dolls. Neither one of them are Trump and thus do not exactly explain why I should be for Trump.

I am sick of people telling me to go one way or another just because it is AGAINST someone else. There are other people that are also not Obama. They might be better than Trump. Why Trump?

Because Trump can win, and there need not be another reason for this reason. Obama has shown me that he believes America doesn't need to be the strongest defender of freedom in the world. Obama has shown me that he believes we are undeserving of what we have earned. Donald Trump loves America. This why I believe Trump to be more qualified to lead our country. Can you Imagine Trump saying that France has been our greatest Ally? C'mon, enough of this skinny socialists agenda. Let's get back to being number one, and proud of it.

the guy is in the billionaire elite. how many more times will this country fall for voting in an elite multimillionaire or billionaire? every candidate says all the right things on the campaign trail. wall street is why we are in this situation, and trump is wall street through and through. he will say all the right things, they always do. because he is a billionaire he will be sold as someone who will know how to fix this. in my opinion ron paul is the only real alternative, but that is just my opinion. i am not under the impression that the president has any real power compared to the mega bank CEOs and boards of directors. ron paul will not be able to fix all the things he says he wants to fix, but if ron paul were able to get enough media attention in the campaign, or to even WIN the election, then that means more and more people are becoming aware to what is happening to this country, which means whether ron paul won another term or not, or even if he never wins at all, means that people are becoming aware and real change can happen. it would mean people are becoming aware to the real power structure and can make moves to get rid of it over time. if ron paul won, even if he only won the nomination, means that the ideals of america are returning to where they originated. people would be aware of the real issues, the issues that transcend democrat republican, liberal or conservative. donald trump is an egotistical attention whore, billionaire sleazeball... but i guess he is up front about it, which might be better than every other president who has come through since jfk, jfk being the president i consider to be the last REAL president of the united states, with our best interest at heart... i have reagan in the maybe file, up until he got shot, which is when he started to play by the true rulers playbook.

I'm a big fan of Trump for President. He says it like it is and isn't really doesn't care if it hurts anyones feelings. We need a no nonsense President who is willing to crackdown and call out those who isn't doing a good enough job.

Right now we need someone who is financially smart. Trump has made mistakes in the pass financially, learned from them and has came back a million times smarter. Obama just isn't up to the task of what the Presidency requires. He and a lot of people thought he was, but if you are honest with yourself you can see he isn't. If the US was in a nice comfortable spot he would have done a lot better, but it isn't and he isn't.

Obama or any other politician isn't up for the job and its time we look else where for someone who is.

Thats my two cents for whats its worth.

Trump is definitely running for the republican nomination. When we are ready, a teacher will appear. I believe he's the right man at the right time. "Dump the Chump, vote for Trump".

I really hate to tell these people but the US is full of all kinds of people that are not them and eventually that reality is going to hit them in the face really hard. A few loud people do not get to be everyone just because they feel like they are.

Honestly I will vote for Trump, and I have never voted for a president before. Hes been around on TV for a while, while I know you shouldn't trust everything you see on TV, I've seen enough of his personality to feel like I know who he is a little. Politically he is an upfront, no bs guy, I feel our nation needs a man like this to help pull some of these guys heads out of their butts, I think if he makes it into office there will be a lot of controversy about his policies and way of doing things, people will talk and people need to start talking.

He knows his way around a dollar and reinforces that heavily in his family and business partners, seems like he is well aware who to trust and who not to, all these things just lead me to believe Trump is the guy we need to be electing president.

I don't even read about issues many talk about now, like abortion and other WTF! not important topics. Everyone talks about them and I won't vote on someone who talks about nothing but sidesteps to the real problems in this world. Trump just seems different and I think we need somebody different now, its that stupid and simple for me and I'm just going to go with my gut on this one.

Sorry, but Trump for president may be more qualified but I'm not 100% sure he will be the best leader for the USA. He clearly stated concerning Lybia he would only go out there to get the oil. Otherwise he sees no interest in the country
. Isn't it making ring a little bell in your head? We can't let a corporative man being at the head of the country, worst idea ever IMO. We'll have to see what will come up as the time goes by.

Here's why I like Trump:

1) He's not part of the old school establishment, families, etc. that usually get elected.

2) I think he'd be immune to special interest groups, given his personality and way of doing things.

3) He speaks his mind.

4) He's about results.

5) He won't take crap from people. He'll stand up for his ideas.

Sure, there's a lack of experience, but I'd actually prefer someone view the US govt as a business to get it back on a fiscal track right now.

And, it just might shake up the whole behind the scenes government powers, etc.

At least then we'd be told the truth. It is a major reason we are there. You didn't see us in many African nations when genocide was going on, did you? Why? No natural resources, that's why. I'd rather have the cards on the table than be fed BS....as to why we're doing something.

I think the four main reason's, that Trump wants to run for president is for: money, power, greed and fame. Because I truly believe [ besides increasing his TV serial ratings,] that they are the main goals in his life.

He does'nt inspire me at all. He inherited most of his fortunes from his fathers real estate holdings. He treats everything, besides himself as a big joke.

Trumps, other main goal in life, is to tell President Obama that he is fired.

Also, Trump, seems like he is on the long road to the lunatic fringe; what, with his denial that President Obama does not have a legal birth certificate; which in fact, Obama does have a legal birth certificate.
