I like how we don't even see the face of the shooting victim yet the brochure is clearly seen by the photograph. I wonder if they picked this photo as opposed to other ones where it shows their face in order to get a nice shot of the new campaign slogan. More hyping up the rhetoric from the same people who told us to tone down the rhetoric.

You don't see the President's face, either. I just think if you try to make everything bad, you're going to miss out on all the good. If you make everything a conspiracy, then you remove the beauty of happenstance. Evil exists, we all in this community recognize that, but so does that which stands in opposition to evil. A single candle obliterates a room full of darkness. Peace...

I find it amazing that Obama takes every chance he can get to attempt to be presidential and just hoping he can leave a speech or rally with people praising him for the great speech and the togetherness that he longs for. When really, those things only happen to great presidents, not this one.

I also find it funny that he continues to hope that these slogans one day will actually change the world. Clearly he's delusional. But.... I do believe that Obama could one day and maybe soon actually see the light and will start doing things correctly...I know it sounds like fantasy, but it could happen.

Who took the picture? If its Obama handlers, then yes, they will release only helpful photographs.
If its just some bipartisan news agency, then chances are, they found that picture most attractive for demographics on the story.

If it was conservative media, they probably waited until you couldn't see his face to take a snapshot.

All depends on how your conspiracy mind works...but if you don't think Obama's staff will try to capitalize on good moments of the president, then your not really in tune with politics.

Listen, I can't stand what Obama is doing to this country. This is one of the very few times I have defended the President. I don't think this was a campaigning ploy at all. I really think his words and intent were sincere. Yes, the university was the WRONG environment for the memorial. That wasn't the presidents fault. I believe the phrase and shirts were a sincere attempt of unity and solidarity. Remember, we are a nation of sound bites and catch phrases. Sometimes, we forget that politicans are human. Their intent isn't ALWAYS some way to screw us or stick it to us. Obama gets my support for this one. I usually rabidly defend the conservative point of view. But not this time. This memorial didn't feel like grandstanding by the pres.

Right. Its simply marketing overall and all politicians...hell, all people do it (show them in a good light).

This is about as conspiracy related as a tube of lipstick

If I understand correctly..."Together We Thrive" was the name or theme of the memorial service...not a slogan attached to Obama.

So you would think people would be happy that they are focusing on the memorial theme rather than the just the President.

But I guess someone will always find something negative if Obama is involved...even if it is a totally uncontroversial picture.

You sheep are just sooooo slow. Can you not see it?

1. The man pointing to the woman's head - subliminal recreation of the shooting.
2. The intertwined hands on Obama's back are an obvious Illuminati reference to the devil's horns.
3. Between the two huggers, exactly 33% of their eyebrow/eyelashes are shown. 33! Hello!!?!?!?!?!
4. The pamphlet was printed with the blood from unbaptized babies and it is shoved to the focal point of the image to remind you that these Socialist are coming after your babies as part of their Masonic/Satanic/NWO aganda. They have more stuff to print and red ink is expensive.

How do you people not see it when it is all right in your faces like this?

"Together we thrive"...a positive and true message. I swear, some people are so blinded by their politics will take exception with anything.

It came from the white house homepage. Yes, helpful, I think its funny they don't even show the victim's families face, the rest of the images are also lacking, i couldn't even find the father of the little girl whom i was looking for

Oh, come on....if they had showed the faces then you same people would be saying that the President was exploiting them for political gain.

Some need their privacy now to grieve and this is a way to protect their identity so that they are not harrassed for now by photographers, papparazzi, and the media. When they feel the time is right to say something then they will be given the time but not until then. This completely explains the lack of detail to both faces.

The woman in the blue jacket IS one of the shooting victims. Pam Simon.

The university made the name, the fliers, the t-shirts, the event - ALL of it. Obama was invited to speak.

As to why they picked this picture? Probably because you can see the flier. It's a good thought. As an artist, I think it's a good picture. Shows feeling and spirit. It's balanced and pleasant to the eye.

I think some of you read entirely too much into things. And if Obama uses Together We Thrive as a slogan... So what? So he's trying to win? So he's using everything available to him to win the election? Wow! First time anyone's done that!

Can you link to the page where you got that picture? I can't find it.
Thanks.

OK, I'm calling Shenanigans. I had to look and look for that picture and I finally found it. It's not on the White House Home page. It's in Home - Photos and Videos - Photo Gallery. And it among MANY similar photos from that night, none of which sport the flier you're so concerned about. It's the 4th of 13 photos. You make it sound like it's plastered on the front page!

Photo Gallery

They show the victim's face. What do you want?

i couldn't even find the father of the little girl whom i was looking for

Do you know if he was there? At the memorial?

Yep - - its so silly.

Photographers take 100s of pictures. If they're lucky - - they get one that makes an awesome statement.

No photographer is going to stand around waiting for one opportune moment. They just photograph everything.

I'd just like to say that if the woman in the blue jacket is one of the shooting victims, then the picture is done for the sake of the flier and not for privacy.

White house home page means www.whitehouse.gov. Yes it is in the photogalleries. I never said it was front page.
